Pembina Pipeline Corporation is proposing to construct a new 91.44m communications tower at its Iosegun facility within LSD NW 30-62-2W6M in the Municipal District of Greenview No. 16, Alberta. Waste Transfer Stations Update: February 4, 2019
Due to the extreme cold conditions the Little Smoky and Sturgeon Heights transfer stations in Greenview will be closed today as the temperatures are well below the safety limits. We apologise for any inconvenience. Updates on these and other sites will be provided depending on weather conditions.

Council Highlights January 28, 2019
At the January 28 Council meeting Council accepted the Grande Cache 2019 Proposed Operational and Capital Budget for information. Council passed Bylaw No. 18-803 and Bylaw No. 18-804. Greenview will proceed with an application to the Solicitor General of Alberta to become an authorized employer of a Peace Officer Program with funds to come from the Protective Services Budget. The 2019 Valleyview Cup Charity Hockey Tournament and the 2019 World Jet Boat Championship both received sponsorship from Council.

The MD of Greenview has received an outage notification from ATCO concerning the Little Smoky Area - SW-18-67-29-W5 for Transmission Maintenance. This will take place on January 29, 2019 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Residents who have questions or concerns should call the ATCO Outage Line at 1-800-668-2248 or their 24 Hour Emergency line at 1-800-668-5506.

Interim Chief Administrative Officer Appointed January 14, 2019
Mr. Mike Haugen is no longer employed with the Municipal District of Greenview. Greenview Council wishes the former Chief Administrative Officer well in his future endeavours. Council has appointed Ms. Denise Thompson as Interim Chief Administrative Officer for the Municipal District of Greenview.
