Looking for great Christmas gifts - the Museum of Miniatures has something for everyone in the family. Although we are closed for the season we are usually home so if you want to see our selection just knock on the garage(workshop) door, ring the house doorbell or give us a call first (403-646-3235). Hope to help you with something special for that special someone.

Thomas the Train is now in hibernation mode for the winter. He is looking forward to next summer (May 1 to September 30) though and will be ready again to greet all the kids and the adults too.

Enjoyed the Aspen Crossing gift show the last 2 days. Lots of people and lots of fun. We are off to the Vulcan Kinettes Gift Show next Sunday and it is always a great day too. Look forward to seeing you there!

User

Excited to be going to Aspen Crossing tomorrow for the Christmas gift show. Hope they have a great turnout (and hope we do well too!)

We will be selling our great gifts at Christmas craft shows again this year. Unfortunately so many of the shows are on the same days so we can only attend a few. This year we will be going to the Aspen Crossing 2 day show on November 17 and 18 and the Vulcan show on November 25. Hope to see you there!

Because the Museum is closed for the winter season and opens again May 1, we had a chance for a short (too short!) holiday and went to Cuba. Had a great time, the weather was hot and wonderful, the people were very friendly and the rum was great. It is the quiet season so no crowds in the swimming pool, at meals, etc. It was all fantastic. Of course, the cats visiting at meal times was the "icing on the cake" for me.

The weather is improving so hope to see more people out and visiting the Museum before we close for the season on September 30. We open again May 1 so if you miss coming now we look forward to seeing you then.😊😊 ☺️

Nature is amazing! Flowers took a beating during our storm but have come back with a vengence.

Not as severe as the last one but still awesome in its power

Thanks to everyone who "liked" our Museum of Miniatures and also to those who shared my picture of our hail. Still not sure how to thank everyone individually so am putting it here. 😃

Yesterday we were priviliged to have the Cranbrook Bugle Band from Cranbrook, B.C. visit our Museum on their way to participate in the Calgary Stampede parade. Would love to have some pictures but the photographer (me) was not there at the time and missed a fun photo shoot.

Not sure what to expect after tomorrow with our internet. We are with Axia and, if i understand correctly, will not have internet access after tomorrow. If you want to get in touch with us our phone number is on our web site (403-646-3235).

Operation was a complete success and we will be open again tomorrow (Tuesday). Thanks everyone for your well wishes and prayers.

We spent a wonderful hour here today learning about the display details from Roy. This is a beautiful & incredibly well maintained museum. I highly recommend it for families!

We are ashamed to say we’ve lived near Stavely for five years and have never visited. Well this past weekend all that changed! We were curious if it would be good for our 5 and 3 year old boys and it turns out they had a great time. There was lots for them to see and we played some Eye Spy with them. They were able to point out things we missed! Me Whittman (I hope I got his name right) was very knowledgeable and friendly. At first glance you may think the museum is small and maybe overpriced, but once you start to REALLY look at the time and effort to create all the scenes it’s definitely worth it. Overall we had a fantastic time and highly recommend to everyone near and far.

Roy Wittman, the creator, is very knowledgeable, creative and an excellent storyteller. Carol, his wife and partner, is very pleasant and accommodating. The items in the museum were delicately-crafted, interesting and top notch!
