Music Conference Alberta Description
The conference includes sessions designed for elementary music teachers, choral conductors, band directors, and studio instructors. Since its inception in 2007, the conference is co-presented by the Choir Alberta (formerly Alberta Choral Federation), the Alberta Band Association, and the Alberta Music Education Foundation in collaboration with the Alberta Kodàly Association, the Alberta Registered Music Teachers Association and the Alberta Strings Association. Music Conference Alberta provides an opportunity for conductors, choristers, studio teachers, music educators, and other music enthusiasts to attend sessions and workshops on a wide variety of topics related to music and music education. In addition, conference delegates can attend concerts, master classes and social events designed to renew and inspire. The conference is also host to a large trade fair which includes more than 40 exhibitors annually. In addition, Alberta's awards for music educators are presented at the banquet.
