MYC is a music instruction program that focuses on small group & parent-child teams. Our philosophy is to help kids develop the happy habit of learning music.

I have classes for beginners ages 3-10 yrs old. Classes run 1 hour /week, and are taught to groups of 4-6 students. This allows me to be able to give each student focused time. In the group setting, I use hands on teaching techniques to teach the kids not only to play piano, but to sing, play rhythm instruments, compose their own music, understand the music theory behind what they are doing, and finally, the skills necessary to play in a group. It is very interactive and hands on, which makes the learning fun and accessible for the students. Practice requirements are very minimal for the first year. We start with 5-10 minutes, 5 times a week. By the end of the year, the kids work up to about 15-20 minutes practices, 5 times a week. It's a lot of fun, a great way to bond with your child, and an incredible opportunity to get your child excited about music!
