My Pet Puggle Description
My Pet Puggle started with a furry face name Beckett.
I adopted Beckett from the Fort McMurray SPCA in September 2012, we recently purchased our home in June, got married earlier in September and I was ready to expand our family.
I came across a picture of a puggle puppy a few months back and fell in love with the breed, I knew I wanted a female (at the time I had 2 male roommates and a husband so I needed some feminism in my life).
I heard through the grapevine that the FMSPCA had puggles in their shelter so off me and my husband went, I looked at the few puggles that were there and they were cute but it just didn't feel right until my husband said "hey what about this one over here" I turned my head to see the cutest little puggle I have ever seen. She had a cone on her head from a recent injurty and was banging around on everything just trying to get around her kennel. I went up to the cage, put my hands inside and she instantly put her little head in my hands and began licking me, I burst into tears and said "that's it she is coming home with me. "
That little fur ball changed my life, I began to explore the huge pet population around Fort McMurray, I went to pet stores, dog parks and would met random owners while walking Beckett, I learned so much within the first couple months of owning her than I knew my whole life. The one thing I kept hearing from pet owners over and over was "there is just not enough time"
I believe everyone in Fort McMurray can agree with that statement, pet owner or not. Fort McMurray is a fast pace town, people are moving 24 /7, working long hours and traveling back and forth to work which adds more hours to your day. If not all people would say that the hours are shorter and the days end quicker.
Pets are left at home for hours on end and by the time owners come home they are either exhausted from working a 12 hour shift or they only have a few hours to sleep before the day starts and they have to repeat all over again.
A lot of people in this town also work a shift rotation 7 on and 7 off, once they roll around to their 7 off most people want to get out of town, take a quick ride of Edmonton, head to Vegas or Mexico with that again leaves their pet at home.
That is where I come in, I provide pet sitting at my home in Beaconhill, your pet would come and stay with me while you are away, it isn't a kennel environment your pet would live in my home with myself and Beckett as if they are my own.
I also provide daily pet checks and dog walking services out of the pet's home, if your pet feels more comfortable being at home while you are away or if you are working long hours and want me to do the walking, feeding, litter scooping etc then I will!
I am licensed, bonded, have insurance, registered, pet first aid certified, have experience dealing with medicine (including injections) and a proud member of Pet Sitter's International. I promise you if your pet cannot be with you I can guarantee I am the next best thing!
Not just limited to dogs and cats, I do fish feeding, cage cleaning and willing to learn with anything that your pet requires.

We switched from another pet walking service in town and the comparison is unbelievable! I feel completely at ease having Terri come walk and care for my 3.5 month old puppy and my 7 year old dog. She's amazing!
We love how good Thea treats our puppy! She is very well educated when it comes to dogs & shows so much love towards our girl. We know Tallie is in good hands when she is around �. thank you MPP!

my poochies Tommie and Emily get loving from Thea 5 days a week and we wouldn't have any other way!! She is incredibly patient and kind, always keeps me in the loop with a daily picture or follow note. I really appreciate knowing they are so well cared for by such a wonderful lady!

Thea comes 4 days a week to drop in on my dog, and he loves it. She has a watchful and keeps you up to date. Big piece of mind with someone like that going to see my dog. Love their service and will continue to use them! Mesa says thank you �

My Pet Puggle took care of our labradoodle, Loki, while we were away for a month. I honestly cannot say enough about this amazing local business! Thea was absolutely wonderful and provided us with an update every single day. We were away during our pup's birthday, Christmas, and New Years. To celebrate, Thea had a birthday cake and Christmas stocking for Loki while he was at her place! There were even birthday and New Years Eve party hats (yeah, pretty much cuteness overload, haha). I’m completely confident that Loki was treated just like one of the family (I wish there was a way to attach some of the adorable photos we received demonstrating just how loved and cared for he was). Our expectations were completely surpassed and we will definitely be returning to My Pet Puggle in the future. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!

I recently started to have Thea come visit my house to assist with my dogs and I'm beyond amazed with the service and help. Couldn't be happier to have the help. I Recommend them to anyone
Going with My Pet Puggle was a no brainer. I work with Terri’s husband and I was always hearing about Terri’s love for dogs, his love for dogs and the passion and time Terri has put into her business. I’ve also heard this from countless friends who have used MPP’s services in the past and when my former (also wonderful) dog sitter (who actually also recommend Terri once upon a time when she was unable to help us) moved south, we figured we would send our dogs Max and Molly to MPP for a week in July.
From the time we took them to visit Miss Beckett, to the time we dropped them off and picked them up everything was absolutely fantastic. Terri provided my wife and I with daily updates with pictures of our dogs just having a blast. Upon picking them up we got a “report card” which was a nice touch to say the least. Then when we got them home they slept for about 8 straight hours. Bonus!
I wish I knew what I was spending my next vacation days on so I could book them in again right now! But will have to wait and see!
