Tried Nando's last Thursday evening for the first time and we greeted by a very friendly and helpful Lauren, who explained the Nando's format and the various menu choices, taking great care with our order.

We appreciated staff's attentiveness and that they checked often on our table to ensure everything was okay. We ordered the variety platter for 2 and were amazed at the value for our dollar: the portion was more than satisfying, both in flavour and quantity. We initially thought we might get dessert, but this platter, which includes two skewers, wings and a two large pieces (breast or thigh), and two sides (we chose the spicy rice and house salad) was more than ample for the two of us. We were quite full!

It's also nice that there are a number of gluten-free options on the menu for those with dietary restrictions.

Highly recommended!

The chicken was nice and juicy without feeling undercooked. The peri-peri seasoning is delicious, and I love that there are different heat levels for every preference. Throw in a bazillion choices to pick from the drink dispenser, and AYCE fro-yo available for dessert, you can't beat it!

Nandos is the best Portuguese chicken ever... ordered for the family Easter lunch/dinner and also for my Daughter's confirmation lunch/ dinner and it was so good... and very friendly people.... will order again and recommend it to everyone!!! Thank you Nandos!!!!!

Love it 😊 it is an amazing place good service quick!

I was a little disappointed that the chicken livers were not available, however the friendly and courteous staff made up for that. Food was delicious as always. Wait time was practically nonexistent. So glad I don't have to drive across town anymore (moreso that I don't have to go all the way to Calgary or Red Deer even to enjoy Nando's)!

Had a great dinner with family last night. Though we waited for 30-45 minutes as we need a table for 12, it worked out very well. Staff were friendly esp the lady at the front and at the cashier considering it was crazy busy. Their Peri peri chicken were pretty good + spice rice+ mashed potatoes. Tried their Caesar salad and liver too! Kids loved their frozen yogurt as well!! Thumbs up. Just hoping for consistency (both in food and service)!

Food was awesome! Best chicken in town! And really cool place.Found the "no waitress" thing kind of confusing at first ( maybe the greeter should explain a little bit more?) but once I understood the process it was all good. I would recommend it!

Went about 430 on Sunday. About 6 tables besides ours. Was busier by the time we left. Loved the chippers added to the menu but the dip with it could be a bit more spicy. Food took a bit longer than normal but tasted great. I hate the pop machine. Standing in line behind 3 little kids screwing around trying to make 12 flavoured pop is so frustrating, moreso if you are waiting for refill while your food gets colder and colder as kids play with the machine or you have to wait while the people in front are trying to figure out how to use it for the first time. I suggest a second fountain beside it with 5 of the most popular plain flavours. Will save much time and especially the frustration. Waiting for 5 minutes to get a glass of coke while the people in front are screwing around or trying to figure it out is painful. I don't get there as often because of this and only go if I know it will be quiet. If it's busy there are plenty of other choices in the area where I don't have to stand in line for a simple glass of coke.

This is a great place to go for good food and friendly staff. Very reasonably priced and the garlic mashed potato's are to die for.

User

The chicken is unreal and very addicting! We've gone several times now and are regulars. The rice and veggies area also fantastic. We've also never waited in line long to order and our food has always been to order.

User

Really liked it.

Food was full or flavor.

Sure got my value worth.

However I did find it different that I had to go place my order once I was seated.

Or that they only had one drink station, ( you can wait in line for awhile even for water).

Most staff was really friendly and helpful.

The young male cashier, not so much..

Definitely will be going again.

The food was delicious, but I think we will see if skip the dishes goes there if we ever want to try it here again. It was under par service wise and it took quite some time to get our food even though there were only three other tables occupied and only two were there before us.

The food gets 5 stars but the service there today was a joke. For NOT having actual table service, it was amazing how many errors were made. It was comical. Garlic bread being delivered to tables that already had their food while the table it should have gone to looked on like...um? Four tables next to me with food being missing, items not on their bill that they ordered. Double orders of things they didn't even order. I was like...is this the twilight zone?

User

It was ok, the line up to order was long. I find the seating too cramped and it's noisy. They should have tablet ordering, and more than one beverage machine. As for the food, it was adequate. My boyfriends 1/4 chicken was bigger than mine, I asked for a similar piece and had to follow the order & expedite myself. The chicken is good but I've had better. The manager was accommodating and comped a free dessert. I won't be back.

User

The place was really cold. Buns for sliders were dry. Just ordinary food nothing special. The floor is sticky dirty. Won't be back

User

First and last visit, order took forever but not only that I 've been on the toilet for the rest of the day only an hour after eating there !!

User

We enjoyed the food, 4 stars. But heaven forbid if you go during a moderately busy time. Not ONE person working there EVER told us about the different format of restaurant dining. We sat for 20 minutes before someone asked us if WE placed our order at the cashier. Nobody told us where the pop machine was, they brought us consistently cold coffee and wrong "hot" drinks. I had to ask FIVE times for correct drinks. Nobody asked us how the food was, nobody checked on our table, nobody even gave us a sideways glance. If you want a drink at the pop machine, better prepare for long lineups and sub par pop (and the potential for it to break down). The seating is awkward, the hosts don't know what they should be doing. Even when it's utterly busy they are chatting with friends. They need to rethink their business plan.

User

Very dissapointed, it's the second time I visited this location and the chicken was raw! Manager was nice enough to replace the chicken but definitely not going there anymore. If you like raw chicken this is the location for you. South Side is way better!

User

Just visited Nandos in Edmonton and I didn't like it. I don't like how you have to go stand in a line and order your own food. Get your own drinks and get your own cutlery. And then the prices are so extremely high. I can get a roasted chicken from Costco or Safeway for way cheaper than that. And they would have tasted the same. I strongly recommend you not going here.
