Went downstairs for my birthday Saturday. We signed up for bowling and they texted when it was ready which was super handy. We got a table no problem, ate some delicious well priced food, had some delicious drinks and went to the dance floor when it was going and got busier. Our waitress was lovely, the music was so much fun and we ended up dancing all night, and not even doing bowling. It was so fun and I’ll dedinurely be coming again.

User

Their new menu items rolled out on Monday and I have to say that was the best brisket sandwich I've had in a long time. Friendly staff and great service!

User

The best pub I've been to in Calgary in years. From the mangers (namely Brent); to the servers; to the food; to the beer. I've been going to it for lunch about 3 years. It is second to none.

User

Our server was Sabrina and she was awesome!

User

On business trip from UK to Calgary for a few days, this was our fav. place by a mile. Made to feel really welcome by Bree, who looked after us on our 3 visits, lovely lady and reason we kept going back, although the selection of beers was also another reason.

Food was good also and even managed a bit of bowling thanks to Sarah. All in all a great venue.

User

My family and I had a great time bowling at National! The service was good and the food was great but a little overpriced for the amount you get. The Ceasars and craft beer were a hit though, would definitely recommend for a fun night out with family and friends!

User

Birthday dinner with my family was perfect...food was delicious, service was great and music was uplifting. I will be back.

User

Best place ever to watch Croatia best England. Just passing through Calgary a few days and we dropped in on this, beer, food, BOWLING???!, foosball, beer, two floors, beer, TV screens all over, beer, great food beyond usual suspects pub food. Try Chorizo pizza.

User

Always great food, great staff, and great beer selection. My go-to pub in Calgary!

User

A worthy establishment to enjoy a fine pint of mead with the fairest of maidens by your side.

User

We were here on Sat April 14th. Fantastic place to bowl! Beers were unfortunately very limited in the bowling alley which was disappointing as the beverage menu upstairs is quite extensive. The girl behind the counter where we checked in and got our bowling shoes was so awesome! She was very sweet and personable! 4 stars ☆☆☆☆

User

Was there June 2, Pints were crazy overpriced but the DJ was great. Not only were his music choices well aimed at the audience, but he was definitely being a champ dealing with the drunk people and their praise, their questions, and their requests (that last one was me lol). Well done.

User

Was great, but one person told me the fries were made in a separate fryer than the meat items that were fried. My server told me honestly that was not true. She was an amazing server and brought me a little dish of pickles which was amazing. I was there for a birthday, they ordered meat and she accommodated me. I was good with that. I don't frequent bars but this place was fun and I would definitely go back one day.

User

Food and drink was over priced and wasn't even that good for the price... However our server was absoulty amazing..

User

Came here tonight with my cousins from that are locals. Being from Vancouver, BC; I am not a stranger to rude doormen, but the coloured gent out front was a complete asshat. Every other bouncer was polite and pretty cool, but that one bouncer was rude, and a few bar tenders were rude when I just asked for a glass of water.

Overall, not a bad place to go to, but the Cactus Club on 7th ave is a lot better.

User

Went there with my boyfriend and we were turned around because I was wearing Toms and he was wearing a shirt with a hood.... went on the web site and couldn't find a dress code anywhere, which was funny because the door guys were both wearing hoodies and one was wearing torn jean cut offs.... I didn't realize I didn't dress well enough for national... an yet we still looked better then the door guys.

Emailed management and they had nothing to say.

I work at a popular barber shop next to national, I'll be filling my clients in, since none of them had a clue there was a dress code.

User

Things were fine until the doorman totally ignored me as I went out for a smoke because he wasn't doing his job, he was talking to some bimbos instead. So I go out for a smoke because I didn't think there was a doorman until I came back in and he refused to let me in so I can pay my bill, its not my fault that your ass is too incompetent to do a simple job. They way I was treated was beyond unacceptable

User

Terrible service, horrible food, long wait time

User

Terrible management and unprofessional door staff. Been there a few times with girlfriends, and as soon as I show up with my boyfriend I'm denied entry because I'm "under 25". I have no idea how they're allowed to make such policies, when there is in fact an age of majority for a reason. Surprisingly enough, young people still exist in the industry and not all of them are shit heads... Just an FYI
