Birthday/Relaunch Celebrations!
As many of you know Nerd City is approaching 2 years since its official opening and we couldn't be more excited. In addition these past 6 weeks (and ongoing) have marked huge changes to Nerd City. Expanded stock, more staff, total remodel from floors to walls to heating/AC and more have all begun here.
But that isn't the end of the birthday. A new face is nice, but really celebrating with our friends who make us what we are is what's most impor...tant. So that means we will be spending the weekend of September 21st-23rd having our customers help us really have a party.
From Friday-Sunday enjoy 20%* off everything store wide**.
Throughout the weekend we will be doing random draws for great free gifts for everyone in store. Plus there will be free food on Saturday and Sunday too!
From that we move into our special weekend events.
On Saturday we will have our regular YGO tournament, but with bonus prize support and give aways! On Sunday our Standard format Pokemon tournament will have bonus prize support and no cost to enter! So come out and check out our new weekly Pokemon tournament for free and win some great prizes!
Lastly we are going to return to Ravnica. Literally. Just a week before our Guilds of Ravnica prerelease, Saturday September 22nd we will host a Return to Ravnica block sealed event. This FREE event will give players 2 booster packs of Return to Ravnica, Gatecrash and Dragon's Maze to construct a deck and play a fun free tournament with. Truly the best way to get into the Ravnica spirit for this upcoming set.

i went in to check it out shortly after it opened and since then i haven't gone any where else for my magic needs. mike is super friendly the atmosphere is chill n laid back. there is events going on of all kinds each day i find my self going there in my breaks from work to help regain what lil sanity i have left

This is the best geek shop I've ever been in it has great people great games and tournaments and the store owner works 24/7 to make this store a better place and it's just all around the best place to go to nerd out and take a break from everyday stuff

Nerd City has the best atmosphere ever and Mike is probably the most welcoming person I have met when it comes to business ownership and creating community. The people that I have met so far in Nerd City are awesome and if you are looking for a strong community and awesome people Nerd City is the place to go.

My husband and I have been in here a few times and the owner is amazing! He is beyond welcoming and friendly, he's super knowledgeable too. Would and do recommend!! Amazing stuff and there is always something going on there. A++

Mike provides a great environment for new and old hobbyists. Amazing stock for anything from D&D to Warhammer and War machine. The staff helps out whenever they can. Would recommend for the welcoming atmosphere and fun people.

Michael is extremely professional. Approachable and fiendly. Michael is running a great place for magic card tournaments. Definitely check it out if you haven't already!!

Lots of game places are very weird and quiet when you walk in, and in my opinion not very friendly. Coming to Nerd City is one of the best places to get a real friendly vibe in. I play DnD twice a week there sometimes more and if i had the ability to i would go there more. I paint miniatures and the paint selection is large which is nice to see. Looking for more people who maybe interested in gaming as well so stop by and role up a character !

It’s a great place for kids to come and learn to play Pokémon. They have such supportive and staff and other players that really help you learn what to do. Plus the have great prices on Pokémon. And it’s a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon

I went there for the first time today. The guy that talked with us was very friendly and approachable.

I recently stumbled upon this place and have been extremely satisfied that i found this place. The whole atmosphere of the business is super chill and laid back. The people are all welcoming and like people. The manager is totally awesome. He puts an honest effort in to learning about the games that he sells. He is cool. And his hair is pretty rad.

I play tabletop twice a week at Nerd City and I can't get enough. The atmosphere is so relaxed and the staff treat customers, gamers, and everyone else who walks through their door like friends. 10/10, would recommend to any level of gamer, from the freshest newbie to the most seasoned veteran.

Honestly I would give this place five stars just because the guy held the first successful Yu-Gi-Oh! Tournament in Red Deer in years, but the guy who runs the place is also just super chill, gives you a discount for preorder, sells all the coolest stuff, and has great hair, so what's not to love?



On a side note, I def promised him I would say the nice hair thing.

Great shop in town. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great to talk to about new games or just hang out and chat.



There are tables open to play any sort of game out there and the communities are growing as a result.

Fantastic Store, Fantastic people! Was visiting family in Red Deer, and wanted to get my little cousins some spiffy board games and they had a great selection, the staff was super helpful!

Excellent little hide away for people with a passion for nerd culture! Walked in for the first time the other day and although I didn't buy anything I was treated like a welcome friend. I went back today to purchase a few items to start up painting models and was again greeted and treated as a friend. This place is as I called it "nerdvana" very happy to finally have a spot in Red Deer. I know they are just starting but if this place keeps going the way it is I know I will be a regular.

Awesome staff fun to just hang out and talk with. They know their stuff, there's a TON of D&D things to do. Cannot wait to dive head first into a ton of dungeons and kill some dragons on the way. No guts no glory!

Awesome selection of gaming and collectables stock. The owners are super friendly and beyond helpful. I play Tabletop games at Nerd City twice a week and couldn't imagine playing anywhere else anymore. Please come down and enjoy the laidback atmosphere, join in on one of the regular tabletop sessions or even just come hang out. Can't recommend enough!
