Neyaskweyahk Group Of Companies Inc.

Neyaskweyahk Group of Companies Inc. (NGCI) is based in the Territory of Treaty #6 and is wholly owned by the Ermineskin Cree Nation.

The founding of Neyaskweyahk Group of Companies Inc. (NGCI) was inspired by the research found in the Harvard Project on American Indian Economic Development (HPAIED). The HPAIED reveals stories and examples of where Native Nations themselves took a central role in rebuilding and sustaining strong, healthy Indian Nations. ECN Leadership took those concepts and applied to their own business enterprises.

Throughout the years 2012 - 2013 Ermineskin Cree Nation, conducted a series of community forums and key decisions, officially launched NGCI Inc.

In 2012, the Maskwacis Cree governments (Ermineskin, Samson, and Montana) supported a joint economic leakage study. It was found that a high percentage of income to the Nation citizens is spent in neighboring economies. NGCI is proud to announce that we are capturing a percentage of those dollars and reinvesting that money back into the Nation.
