Nicole Rodriguez Photography Description
I'm Nicole Rodriguez, the owner and principle photographer of Nicole Rodriguez Photography.
In my many years of being behind the camera I've seen countless trends, extraordinary shoots and inspirational places locally and around the Alberta area. To me this is not a job, this is my life, seeing the excitement on people's faces as I capture their moments. I am always striving to become better and excited to see what is next.
What matters most to me is being able to create that image that will produce a smile for someone over a lifetime. My passion lies in photographing people, moments in their lives, and above all else, the exploration of light. This is a business with a very personal touch. You as a client are letting us in to your world to capture your lives through images. It really is a big deal. Rather than entering contests for awards, it's you, the client who is my judge. The most genuine award one could receive in this profession is given to us by you, through your hugs and thank-you's.
Like many of you I have loved and lost, and I live trying to use my talent to slow life down, even just for a moment. Through highs and lows, I've been an explorer of life, a son, brother, friend, uncle and soulmate. I am a photographer of life's "stuff" and recognize the beauty in all aspects of life.
There's that saying that goes "your work does not or should not define who you are" - it does not ring true to me. As photographers we dream, see and experience every second of our lives as though we're seeing it through the lens of a camera. I have committed my life to helping people in the world see things the way they ought to be seen. It's who I am and it's who you are.
Am I the right photographer for you? If you've read this far, the chances are good that I might be. The proof is in the pudding - isn't that what they say? If you like what you see in my portfolios, then feel free to connect with me and we'll set something up. Browse, look, enjoy and thank you for stopping by Nicole Rodriguez Photography.

This was such a fun night, Tom and I went to Herbert Lake, laid on the cold ground, drank tea and watched the beautiful meteor shower for hours. This was my first meteor shower I have had the pleasure to watch and I was honestly speechless that mother could produce something so beautiful.

That’s the paradox: The time most people feel alive is when they’re suffering, when something overwhelms their ordinary, careful armour, and the naked child is flung out onto the world. That’s why the things that are worst to undergo are best to remember. The only calibration that really counts is how much heart you invest, how much people ignore their fears of being hurt or caught out or humiliated. The only thing people regret is that they didn’t live bo...ldly enough, that they didn’t invest enough heart, that they didn’t love enough. Nothing else really counts at all. - Ted Hughes

Ive honestly never felt more alive, then my time in the mountains. Lately I feel like I am nesting back into myself again, the same way you make a house a home. Last year, what I knew of myself was hit with a big rusty wrecking ball - and I wasn't scared when I saw it coming. Throughout my little life, I've learnt to see pain as essential to growth - the cracks are where the light gets in, pain keeps you grounded, it gives you perspective, and it hurts - bu...t it shouldn't be run from. Rebuilding myself has been a long process and I've realised this last week or so that it's still ongoing, and probably will be for a while - but lately, climbing into bed at night with my mind doesn't seem so scary. The future and the unknown that lies ahead might hold as much good as bad - maybe even more so :-) So today, a little nesting.

I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says ‘Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again.’ — Lewis Carroll
