About NESA

The North Eastern Settlements Alliance (NESA) is a wholly owned company of the Metis Settlements of Buffalo Lake, Elizabeth, Fishing Lake and Kikino. Established in 2012, NESA is a non-political organization. Our priority is the pursuit of responsible investment and development initiatives that will increase local employment and lead to the benefit and sustainability of our member communities.
Each of our member communities are situated in the north eastern economic hub of Alberta, and we are well positioned to build portfolios in various sectors including oil and gas; oilfield services; well servicing; construction staffing; forestry; food processing; commercial construction; land development; tourism; agriculture and camp services /catering.
Partnering with NESA will provide an efficient and profitable way to partner with local communities.

NESA has an ambitious yet achievable vision to develop economic opportunities in northeastern Alberta. To achieve our vision, we have developed a strategic network of financial and non-financial partners with the required industry knowledge, capacity and connections.
Our Board and staff welcome the opportunity to engage with third parties to bring important investment, new business and sectoral expertise to our business ventures. While we have some common criteria that we look for, we consider ourselves to be open to something new if it’s beneficial for both partners.
