My hubby took me here for my birthday recently.

Nice facility. Pleasant staff and very helpful and accommodating. Great selection of slots and so much fun. Will definitely come back.

User

Had a great time. Can't believe they're blowing that place down. Very sad.

User

Had a great time feeding the horses..didn't win much, but enjoyed a relaxing evening

User

Great to watch the ponies run. Food is alway great and friendly staff!!

User

Great time watching the ponies run. Excellent weather, great food.

User

been there once gotta say it’s nice and awesome to see the horses and cheering them on to win, it’s got a neat atmosphere and good food, descent staff and a heck of events going on. hoping to go again soon.

User

We went with a group of friends and sat at ground level in the area that has the patio furniture. We had a great time and enjoyed the freshly barbecued burgers and hotdogs with a beer or two. The food and beer is a little pricey but not too bad. I prefer being outside as it's fun to be near the horses. I Iiked the concession food better than the buffet at Colors which is kind of ho hum.

User

We had a great day with family there and the kids loved the horses. They even got to pat a couple of them when they stopped to say hello! Everyone was so friendly and helpful!

User

We enjoy everything at the Northlands races, especially the food and great service! Thank you for making it such a welcoming place ! We loved the buffet last night, yummy! and the Horses of course!

User

I was pleasantly surprised by the family friendly environment. Bet on a few races for the fun of it. We just ate the BBQ and it was reasonably priced. Loved the wiener dog races.

User

I very much enjoyed going to the track with the neighbors and my girls. Endless fun to be had by all.

User

Had a good time. Yes, you spend a little more for concession food. But we are there to enjoy the thoroughbred racing and Northlands is the place for that!

User

Was okay but the Derby was better last year. This year they didn't put out the desserts until 345 pm. When people are paying over 125 per person they should not cheap out. Esp since last year you got a concert on the infield after the races too.

User

The race track was fine. Nice that there was no parking cost, the casino downstairs if you so desired. I loved the table area WHEN the restaurant was in operation. The buffet is too expensive for seniors who don't eat $26 worth all day. That is $52+ just to eat never mind money to bet a little. We used to drive two hours to come but quit when they shut down the restaurant.

User

I wouldn't bother with the buffet dinner at Colours. The food more expensive than your typical Swiss Chalet/Boston Pizza/Montanas kind of restaurant, but not as good. I suppose you could make up the difference by eating a lot though lol. Beer selection is very limited and not worth the $7.25 either. It is free to watch the races from the stands though, and there are TVs everywhere, so that is what we will do next time. It's about 15-25 min between races, so if you're not betting I would be sure to come with a group of friends

User

Your official website is lousy and offers little information or details on promotions, especially the Breeders Cup. You need to do a better job than this!

User

Very disappointing for the final 88 years of the Derby. Terrible service, nothing special for the buffet ( long line-ups) no speeches thanking the people for 88 years of attending. 159.00 a person - no flowers on the tables, we did get potato chips, and some glasses. You'd think the tables would get a bottle of wine, had to clear our own dishes, basic buffet (same price as the regular price so they added 100.00 cause it was the derby- Glad it is going somewhere else maybe they will be more organized. Every year I think it will get better - Northlands, needs a complete overhaul

User

Terrible food, four of us came for lunch, all four were upset with our meals. Won't be back

User

I would boycott northlands for how they handled the firing of parking cashiers.... Where was management oversight, where was the risk management controls , where was internal audit and finance, but no fire frontline pastime minimum wage earners most of whom are innocent. Even the mayor of Edmonton supports punishing innocent people. I would like to see the public firing of managers who fell asleep on the job by not realizing " wow we are short cash" after an event " maybe we should look into it" nah ! We will just fire some part timer....shame! No more tax dollars for u people!
