About Nsuur Ngos Supporting Uninsured And Underinsured Residents

NSUUR is a long-term recovery team here in Fort McMurray to help qualified uninsured and underinsured homeowners return to their homes. Local residents, government, businesses and organizations have partnered with NGO's to bridge the gap between an applicants' available resources and reconstruction needs.

World Renew, Samaritan's Purse, Mennonite Disaster Service, Habitat for Humanity Wood Buffalo and Fuse Social formed NSUUR to provide a coordinated response to the reconstruction needs of uninsured and underinsured residents.

One of the benefits of this collaboration has been a centralized application process for residents that may need assistance with their rebuild or repair work.

If you or someone you know, has been impacted by the wildfire and do not have adequate insurance, please contact us to fill out the NSUUR Quick Assess Form. If your property meets the basic criteria, we will contact you to arrange for a needs assessment interview. Potential candidates for the program will need to provide full financial disclosure so we may evaluate the resources that will be required to fit each individual situation.

Please note that revenue and /or secondary properties will not be considered for this program. All other submissions will be evaluated on a case by case basis.
