Ok Tire

I booked my car in for a Wheel balance which went well, however the next day i was driving slow down a hill and happen to hear a metallic sound, i pulled over right away to look around to find a brand new balance weight sitting on the road. The cars shudder was then apparent on the highway so i called in and the wheels were re-balanced right away at no charge. 2 days later after driving to towards our new home town (2.5 hours of driving) the shudder come back so i pulled over to find no balance weights on the rear wheels and only 1 or 2 weights left on each front wheel. Once we arrived in our new hometown there was only 1 remaining on the front right.

I sent in a email with my story with supporting pictures hoping to have the matter resolved as the job was only done 2 day prior, but i never received a reply.

POSITIVES
Friendly staff and cheapest price in town.

NEGATIVE
Bad parking arrangement. Very few places to park with high levels of traffic.

Boat trailer blew a few tires, last one Canmore. OK tire took great care of my problem and improved my boat trailer tires.

Had an unfortunate experience with new replacement tires - mechanics forgot to put end caps on a couple bolts after completion, knocked off several of the balancers (on inside of rims) and I assume they didn't balance the new tires, at all (even though it was included in the cost), as the dealership that I took it to after for full service stated that they have never seen tires as off-balance as mine, ever. It was a hot mess.

Great customer service from these guys.
I had a blowout on my trailer by the casino, from the time I phoned to the time the tire tech had finished took approximately 1 hr 15 min which is great time. Awesome job

Last week I had my vehicle in to have winter tires installed. I dropped it off the night before since I had to be at work before the shop opened the next day. It was parked in one of the two spots in front of the building.

I received a call Wednesday (Dec. 14) morning from the service desk letting me know my tires had been installed and that my vehicle was ready for pick up. When I arrived I paid $650 and was told that my car was parked up the street. I went to retrieve my vehicle and it was parked about 250m away from the shop.

Temperatures that week were beyond -25 over night before wind chill. Being a diesel my car doesn't start well in anything below -20 and should be plugged in. That Wednesday I arrived in a hurry to make it to an appointment and my car wouldn't start. I knew it was too cold but it was parked so far away there was nowhere to plug it in. I didn't have time to ask for help so I paid a cab to get to my appointment on time.

The next day I called to discuss my disappointment. When you drop a car off at a garage, running, you expect to get it back in the same condition, running, especially after spending $650. I spoke to Alex at the front desk and he said that he could get someone to boost it when I arrived. I knew it didn't need a boost, it just needed to be plugged in, but I went through the motions with the gentlemen who came to help me with a boost.

We burned through a battery pack, then he retrieved some jumper cables, that didn't work either. Again, it just need to be plugged in but the gentlemen figured that he had exhausted all his options and pretty much told me I was s-o-l. Again, I went home another day without my vehicle.

So, I had the pleasure of spending my Saturday figuring out how to get my vehicle home. Fortunately I found a friend with a generator I could borrow. I had to buy fuel for it, then coordinate rides to pick it up, get gas, drop it off at the van, back home to wait a couple hours for it to warm up, then back again to drive it home.

Don't get me wrong, I've had my cars serviced at Ben's OK since living in Canmore and there is no question when it comes to their honesty and quality of work. That being said their customer service stinks. I'm just frustrated that, after spending what to me is a lot of money, I had no help from the shop and had to pay out of pocket to do a job I felt should have been taken care of by the shop.

This shop is absolutely amazing, especially Alex!! He is so informative and makes sure everything goes smoothly with all of my transactions. I have always had perfect service and a quick turnaround time here and would highly recommend this shop. Thank you for a job well done!!
