Love this place. What a workout. Staff.is great and the facility is excellent.
Always fun and friendly people, Brody is the best!! Love his energy
Great Music, Instructors, Facilities, and set up online of purchasing passes in advance. Really stream lines the process.
Great spin studio. The instructors are awesome and very motivating. If you know how to spin (or go to spin regularly) this is the studio for you.
I do hate how there are only ten minutes between classes though. By the time the previous class gets out, the instructor and studio assistants clean or get things set up, there are only three minutes for you to get your bike set up and clipped in. This isn't a huge deal if you are an avid spinner and know exactly what your setting are, but if you're a novice it feels extremely rushed. Furthermore, having the lights dimmed during this process makes it very difficult to see the numbers on the bike to determine if your settings are correct.
I also wish that they had a 'new to spin' class where you would be able to go before taking an actual class. It would be nice to get advice on how to set your bike up, and learn the various moves (pump, dip, 4-corners, tap back etc) slowly so that you learn proper form before your spin class. Because trying to spin as fast as you can and trying to match the beat/move which you don't entirely understand is very frustrating and motivating.
I love this studio. ALL of the instructors are amazing! I recently moved out of the inner city but will still come to classes at One Cycle for a great class. It's a little pricey, would love to see more 'deals' and there is minimal parking but I still commute to get my spin on!
Great vibe if you typically hate cardio and need something fun to take your mind off how much you hate cardio. However, I agree with some of the other reviews saying that some of the instructors methods are questionable & could result in injury, especially if you're new to working out and don't really know the limits of your body.
Bikes are FAR too close together, and for the amount of 'bouncing' and arm dips you do, the bikes on the back row are FAR too close to the edge-- I always worry I might go over the edge.
Definitely not for the traditional cyclists looking for conditioning & proper form. Great for the people looking to spend an hour in a nightclub atmosphere while burning off some calories.
Narcissistic maybe!?!? Truth always hurts:) disgusting!!
Excellent spin studio
Unreal location and the greatest staff!!
always looking forward to my sweat sessions here
The ABSOLUTE WORST! This is NOT spin. It is Dance on bikes!
I bought a 20 class pass and when I went for the first time and realized that it was not a spin studio- you are in a very confined dark room that is over crowded, the music is so loud that you have to wear ear plugs and even with them in properly your ears ring for an hour after class, and instead of having proper lighting you are in the pitch dark with a disco ball doing arm dips for every track.
The fact that if you rode the way they have you do the class in real life on a bike you would wipe out is ridiculous. The instructors demonstrate horrific form and speed that guarantee injury if you follow their lead.
I tried to get a refund for my pass because I hated every minute of it and was denied. TERRIBLE business model if they want a good reputation. Do not make a client who hates every second of the class forgo $200 or cringe through 19 more classes, give them a refund so they don't complain to everyone about how crap it is. The only thing nice about One Cycle is the change rooms.
