One! International Poverty Relief

• Operates two schools – one in Khar Danda, Mumbai and the second north of Mumbai in Nallasopara. Volunteers from all over the world along with a staff of 20-30 (full, part time and client trainees) assist in the teaching of over 400 street children from ages one to 20 years at the two schools. The children are provided an opportunity to recognize and express their abilities, interests and talents. Educating the children in Hindi, English, mathematics and skills training such as sewing or woodworking is our main focus. One! provides the children with basic living needs through trust, respect, integrity, commitment and caring. One! works with the entire family, providing medical attention, daily nutrition, small business loans, family counseling, and knowledge that change is possible. One! protects the rights of children, women and their families and uses an innovative holistic approach to fight poverty and provide options for them to choose a brighter future.
