This really is the apex of personal fitness.



For myself, I succeed best with accountability, motivation, variety, and whole-body focus. I'm also not a hardcore "fitness" person - my goal is health, weight loss (and hopefully maintenance at some point :) - just trying to improve a bit each day. Of course, I think OrangeTheory just might be turning me into a "fitness" junkie.



What I like about OrangeTheory is that you are coached in scheduled, structured classes that focus your eforts and hold you to task. You don't have the expense of one-on-one training, but you are not left to your own devices and temptations to slack. This is, in my opinion, a perfect scenario.



The use of heart rate metrics are also very motivational. In my short 20 or so visits, I've noticed that I need to increase effort to get the same heart rate results - which is indicative of improving overall fitness. (plus, I appear to be losing weight! - I decided not to weigh myself for a month)



I'm also very pleased with the cardio/strength balance of the classes. You need to build upon all aspects of body health and these programs do that.



As for staff and coaches - they are stellar. Really wonderful, friendly, motivational, and knowledgeable.



This is highly recommended.

Started at OTF Kensington at the end of September. I was looking for a rest and change from crossfit. After a few weeks I would highly recommend OTF Kensington. Gym is nice and location are good. Coaching is excellent and supportive with good management. The workouts are challenging and great for cardio, endurance, and strength. Also the workouts have much less negative impact on your body than a crossfit workout with what I believe equals less chance for injury. I have already noticed is a difference in my performance in just a few weeks and will continue with OTF.

OTF is the funnest way to stay in shape, I've been working out the OTF way for 3 years. Kensington has the best staff ever!!! OTF Kensington is the way to go. I've been to 4 other branches. This is the best one yet.

OTF is the best 60 minute workout! Yes it is tough but it is worth it and very addicting!. The coaching team are fantastic.

I have been actively using Orangetheory Kensington since their opening and have fallen in love with the energy, the people and of course the theory. To speak generally about my experience with Orangetheory and my most recent experience this evening at Rachel's 4:30 PM class, what has stood out to myself the most is the power of the staff. The moment you enter a studio the front end staff make you feel welcomed and make an extremely strong effort to know you by face and name, all while keeping composed and friendly despite the flurry of activity that goes on before and between classes.



Another area that Orangetheory thrives in is the coaches and how they start motivating you before you even enter to workout space, either by taking the time to introduce new clients to the structure of the workout and the different equipment, or by welcoming you to another serious "sweat sesh". I have particularly enjoyed my time with coach Rachel, whom was my first coach and has continued to be one of my favourites as she's taken the time to learn what works for me and is cognizant of my strengths and weaknesses while approaching these in way thats are encouraging and keep me coming back.



To speak to the workout structure itself, as someone who has been active most of their life and spent many hours in yoga classes, the gym, or even using at home videos- Orangetheory is a step above. There is always a sense of dedication by each person in the building, and no matter where you are on your fitness journey there is room for you and support.



The workouts keep you focused from task to task, and are structured in a way that keeps you engaged during pushes and revitalized during recovery. I particulary enjoy that each day is a surprise on wether you are focusing on: strength, power, endurance, etc. meaning you aren't able to pick and choose or skip days that you might otherwise avoid out of lack of confidence or knowledge.

I am so happy to have this gem added to Kensington. The work outs change up every day and the variety is awesome. I love seeing my progress on the screen and getting my report cards every day. The staff are super sweet as well. They actively try to resolve problems and were willing to match my friend's membership price. It's the fastest I've ever noticed results on my body. Easily the best HIIT workout available today; caters to all ages and skill levels. Every workout is designed to increase strength, power or endurance. There's nothing quite like the feeling of accomplishment when you finish a challenging workout. And of top of that, the coaches are awesome and there to help you along your fitness journey. The office staff is friendly and accommodating; it seems everyone is there to cheer you on and celebrate in your successes!
