A natural childcare environment in SE Auburn Bay, Calgary, Alberta. Near the lake, parks and South Health Campus.

Our vision is to create a environment that inspires interactive play with nature.
We teach by teaching, not correcting - inspired by Montessori method.

We strive to have natural and organic play toys to eliminate harmful exposure to toxins and carcinogens, we support our community by buying local whenever possible. We also purchase often from Etsy to support single business owners and fair trade products.
We make a commitment to purchase products from Canada and homemade where possible.

We plan to try to get the children involved in starting a small organic box garden with composting that the children can learn and eat from.


We enjoy daily activities outdoors (weather permitting) with access to a tot park and green space next door.

We are fortunate enough to be able to walk over to our amazing community lake which offers a spray park, shallow wading area, silky soft sand, large play structures and oddles of fenced in green space all within walking distance.

The children will have experiences with art, music, cooking, gardening, sports and responsible pet care (we have a lion head bunny).

We use homemade cleaning products from natural sources which allow us to involve the children in clean up time without concern of toxins.

Nutrition and Food Options

At OrganiChild, we believe in "controlled options" for children's food options to ensure optimal nutrition while inspiring curiosity and independence. Toddlers enjoy making their own choices, especially with food. Rather then placing one meal down and expecting a child to eat, we offer multiple options at each mealtime to allow for some choice - all of which are healthy options. We take inspiration from different cultural backgrounds and eating methods.

We are VEGETARIANS but offer free range poultry, free range eggs and organic dairy in our home. We do not offer red meat in our home.

We will use a Pinterest board for meal inspiration ideas, which we ask that you add to. Our website www. ORGANICHILD.com offers access to our shared Pinterest board (click on the "OrganiChild Recipe Box" to view).

OrganiChild understands that the greater part of your children's daily nutrition will be provided at our home, we take this responsibility to heart.

We will ensure that you have a record of what was offered each day and what your child's preference was.

Upon registration, you will be asked about your child's food preferences, which will be taken into consideration for meal planning.

Most fruits and vegetables at OrganiChild are local, West Coast produced and /or organic.
We strive to source our meat from local free range /organic farmers where possible.
