Pangaia Productions - Independent School Of The Intercultural Arts Description

Pangaia Productions is the repository and incubator for the artistic performance projects of Kreisha Oro. These artistic projects both strive to emulate and to promote intercultural learning in the most relevant, meaningful and respectful ways in all directions, based on the teachings of Taoist, Filipino and First Nations elders, as well as Western, French and German philosophers, among others.

Everyday understanding mainly perceives art and music as 'commodites' for consumer consumption. As such, artists and performers generally record, produce and promote themselves to feed that market industry. In contrast, Pangaia Productions is rooted in indigenous ways of understanding the transformative powers of the musical arts. As such, all performances and engagements are tailored and designed as community offerings first and foremost. Financial supports, donations and offers of sponsorship are welcome, but must come from a voluntary place in the heart in tune with this work to promote the larger paradigm shift of re-aligning economic practices with democratic and 'nitsitaapii' / 'real human' values and inter-actions.

Theatre, including children's theatre, musical performances, collaborations, workshops and speaking engagements are all designed to be highly participatory and of the most meaningful nature as possible for participants. Training, coaching, guidance and mentorship are provided for all cast and performers so that they can also grow in skill as well as in human virtues during the process of developing any given performance. Discussion groups are also available to explore deeper philosophical, political, spiritual, social or interpersonal issues in more confidential settings.

The Creatrix and Founder of Pangaia Productions, Kreisha Oro, draws from over 20 years of augmentative experience as a performer, musician, director, drum circle leader, academic, community based researcher, ethnomusicologist, philosopher, wholistic healer, martial artist, poet /writer, mother and visionary businesswoman /business improvement specialist to carve out this sacred space for all hearts, minds and bodies to explore 'Otherness' as 'Oneness' in a new Intercultural Paradigm.
