Passport Office (Permanently Closed)

First, I will start by saying the office is no longer located at this address. Since there is never a local telephone number available for Service Canada, you can't even call ahead of time to verify location and hours before taking time off work and fighting rush hour traffic to find out the office isn't there at all anymore.

Two days later I make the trek again to the new location. I had all my documents filled out to the best of my knowledge (impossible to get through to someone with Passport Canada to ensure they are filled out properly before getting there). The first lady tells me that since I lost my previous (now expired) passport, I need to see a different lady and fill out another form (declaration of lost passport). I do that and bring it all back. Then I am told that I need to provide more address's because I moved more than 4 times in the last 2 years. Fair enough. I add more on the back where she indicated. I take my number and sit down. She tells me only 3 people are ahead of me. In reality, about 8 people were called before me. There was 13 wickets open and only 3 people serving customers, 6 were standing behind the counters talking about personal stuff and laughing.

Once I finally get called up, I meet one of the rudest people in customer service. He barely looked at me, only spoke when necessary, turned his back to me the whole time and made me feel super unwanted as a customer. When he actually answered a question of mine, he was just straight up mean about it and made me feel stupid. I asked why he threw out the document I had just filled out, the one for my previous passport being lost and he says I don't need that...he also threw out the additional paper I had provided with the extra addresses. A fellow staff member of his is the one who made me fill those out, so why are you now saying I don't need them? That wasted much of my time when I initially got there. Why am I being given several different responses? I feel like this is a pretty black and white kind of deal. I am sincerely nervous my application will be denied because they actually do want that information. He absolutely refused to send it or whatever it is that they do with it.

I work in customer service too, and it is not for everyone. Perhaps some employees there should rethink their career choices. I am a super happy, easy going person and to be treated like that makes me feel awful. I pray it all goes through fine and I don't need to visit a passport office until 2027...I give them one star simply to be able to write about my experience. But they don't deserve any.

I had to renew two passports at different times. The guards were rude but the first person to help with my passport was very nice. The second person was extremely rude. I sort of felt like I was under scrutiny. I merely wanted to renew my son's passport, but I was treated like a piece of dirt. I give the guards 3 stars, the first agent gets 5 stars, the second gets 1 star. It's the staff, not the location that gets good or poor feedback.

I completed my passport renewal application ahead of time (you can do it on your computer, even, and print it off) and arrived at the office at 10:28am on a Monday. I was finished and back in my car by 10:51am.

A lady beside me was holding a seat for her husband who had not shown up yet; forcing an elderly couple to sit separately. She and her husband couldn't even get a number to join the queue because they were still completing their forms. If you planned in advance already to have your passport photos taken why did you not get a passport application and fill it out in advance, too? If it was an emergency I would understand better but they were just disorganized and hence took up space (in an already crowded passport office) where better prepared applicants could wait.

About as good as it gets. Pushy commissionaires keep it all moving . Fast and professional . I was impressed about at how fast they processed my papers and robbed me . Like a oiled machine . You might lose a finger , or 160$ .

I like this place although my GPS didn't find it. I had a good feeling here because people are friendly here- they even have security guard to help you find a seat while you were waiting. I went to the downtown office in 2015, and I spent about 3hours on waiting. On the opposite, it took me only about 30 minutes in the office.
