Photographic Artist and Painter.

Ethereal, magestic, wild and whimsical, yet beautifully precise, powerful, and purposeful, Mother Nature is by far my favourite subject. I am a photographic artist originally from northern Alberta, Canada, now residing in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. I love colour and natural shadows, and photographs that come out looking like paintings. I have a passion for taking pictures, not editing them on a computer, so my pictures maintain the integrity of the subject and the quality of the light my camera captures at the precise moment when the photograph was taken. I prefer manipulating the controls on my camera, or manipulating the look of a scene using lens filters, and the creative use of depth of field or shutter speed to capture a scene while I'm right there in the moment, rather than manipulating sliders in a photo-editing program. That is what photography is to me. That being said, computer editing does have it's place occasionally, and so I don't avoid it altogether, I just do it very minimally, and only very occasionally.

I enjoy painting, as well, and I am currently working on a body of paintings that I will soon post on here along with my photographs.
