The family dog (Labrador) was being sat on and ears being pulled by child (normal occurrence) What makes it so much worse is the dog was also suffering from a major ear infection.
... This dog has never acted aggressively before this incident. Some of their family felt this was cause to put the dog down...
With holidays quickly around the corner we want to remind everyone to remember your dog needs space and protection. Do not allow visitors to push boundaries or mishandle your pet. IF you have an anxious animal give them a quiet space away from the commotion and don't force long stressful social interactions.

A big part of our On/Off Leash Programs is proper use of remote collars. Linked below are all of our educational DIY videos as well as some before and afters to show everyone the benefit of using a tool correctly and in a positive way!
We will also add that EVERYTHING we teach is done with relationship building and food before ever adding a tool to the mix (meaning we do not require a tool to train a dog).
... The tools we use in our program are to provide the owners success because not everyone is a dog trainer. Anyone that sees a tool, which provides you a stronger relationship and greater communication with your dog as a negative thing needs to be better educated.

Working with Erin at Passionate Paws Ltd... & having that added spunk of a PAWS trainer. Let me tell you. Fun fun fun and she and we are working to create calm, focused dogs. With drive and a strong bond with their owner.

When I met Erin my pup Nala was fairly well behaved.... To some Standards � Within a short period of Erin investing time in Nala, she made heaps of improvement. She most importantly has been given a new sense of structure and patience. I've learned how much she loves having a job and being worked in a different way than running at the dog park.

The biggest improvement though, is me and my knowledge. Erin can teach a dog anything.... But the real lesson in learning is the humans follow through. She's given me tricks and tools I never would have thought of or considered. She has opened my eyes to the positive and safe world of both e collars and prong collars. Not only does Erin train dogs, but she gives their humans all the information and knowledge she can, because all she wants is pack success on every level.

We just got our 4 year old heeler home 2 days ago and wow....she is showing us truly how smart she is and behaving so well. When we brought her in I wasn't sure anything was going to help her but after being with Erin for a month long board and train it really has worked wonders. I look forward to not being scared to take her for a walk and pass others and watch her calm down! Thank you so much for all you guys do and I look forward to attending some classes!

We have been through many training sessions with our dogs but nothing would do the trick for leash walking. Then we found Paws unleashed! Taz and Ollie stayed the week with them and now leash walking is a breeze!! Thanks so much for working with our dogs and showing us the techniques to keep it up at home!

We brought our one year old German shepherd to Erin for the board and train program. Hank had some fear aggression mostly towards people but some dogs too. Any time we would be walking he would lunge and bark at anyone he thought was threatening. I would come home after a walk crying and stressed I didn't know what to do with him. It was to the point where I was feeling so discouraged I didn't want to walk him or take him anywhere afraid he would bite someone (he never did).



Hank spent a month in the board and train program he is now a completely different dog. I feel totally confident with him now. I can now enjoy walking him anywhere. We can walk by people off leash and he won't lunge or bark at them. We can have company over and I'm not afraid he'll bite someone. His recall is so great now I feel safe comfortable taking my dog with me wherever I can.



During Hanks stay we got plenty of picture/video updates. We were so happy to hear and see that he had lots of other dogs to socialize with. So even though it was hard having him gone for so long we knew he was having fun and he was getting the training that we couldn't provide him with.



So so so happy with the outcome of our dog's training! Thank you so much to Erin and your team.

We brought our almost 2 year old pit-bull/cattle dog to Erin for a 2 week board and train. Bill (our dog) was a extremely high energy guy who didn’t know how to control himself. He lunged at cars and pulled hard while on leash walks making it difficult and unpleasant to say the least. His social skills with other dogs wasn’t great either so going to a dog park wasn’t really a good option and any dog that went past our house was perceived as a threat and he would bark out of control.



After spending 2 weeks with Erin, Bill came home a different dog. He learned to walk perfect on leash and heal on command, his recall is amazing so off leash is safe and easy. The socializing with the other dogs in Erin’s care have giving Bill some much need life skills and a better idea of how to interact appropriately with other dogs. Now when a dog walks past our house it react slightly but a gentle correction reminds him the other dogs are not his concern. Erin trained Bill to go on our treadmill so regardless of the weather Bill gets his much needed physical and mental exercise.



Not only did Erin train Bill but she trained us as well. She showed us how to be the leader Bill was craving and how to work and spend his energy effectively. She showed us her techniques so that Bill could continue his progress at home even when she wasn’t there to in force his newly learned way of life. Erin did some trouble shooting with what we were doing wrong so that we would be effective once we got Bill back home so that he would go back to his old ways.



Our family is so thankful for the time and effort Erin put into Bill during his stay. We highly recommend her, whether your dog only has a few issues or a lot she can help. A lot of Bills troubles where cleared up just by learning how to use up his energy effectively and him learning how to control himself. For example he would terrible for stealing things and playing keep away to try and get attention when he was bored, that is now a thing of the past.

We brought our 2 dogs to Erin for a 2 week board and train program. My boy, Todd, a 3 year old red heeler who is very high energy and my fiancée boy, Brock, an 8 year old stafordshire bull terrier who was very stubborn and not the best with other dogs.



After a month working with Erin both dogs are home, happy and doing so well. We are so greatful for all Erin's hard work! She really has a way with dogs!

There is no doubt in our minds that Erin has "the gift" with animals. One snap of her fingers and our "boys" are at her mercy! How the heck does she do that??! Two spoiled miniature schnauzers and two dog parents condoning their bad habits - Erin had us all towing the line within minutes lol. Our 11 year old male Levi had us convinced that he couldn't climb our basement stairs because he had slid down them too many times as a pup and was afraid. After being carried up the stairs for almost ten years we mentioned this to Erin and she laughed and said "well this is the last day for that!". In less than three minutes she had convinced him that he could do the stairs. We followed exactly what she taught us for the next three days and by day four he was running up and down the stairs like a pro. Just a prime example of how we let our fur babies rule our lives! Thanks to Erin we were able to put it all back into perspective! This is just a small example of how she has helped us with our boys but listen to what she says and follow through and you will have absolutely no regrets! We are looking forward to having more sessions with Erin in the New Year and would recommend Erin and Paws Unleashed to any and everyone looking for a more balanced life for you and your fur bearing family members! Such talented trainers! They really know their stuff and get results on dogs who would have likely been in serious trouble otherwise. In a world full of people who aren't willing to deal with the hard stuff, Paws Unleashed goes above and beyond.

Over a month ago I was so torn on what to do with my aggressive Boston terrier. As much as I love him I couldn't take him out of the house with out being completely stressed out. I don't know how many times I came home crying or feeling defeated because my dog would attack any dog he seen. He would attack fences until he bled, if a dog was behind it. He started to turn on me when I would try to correct him. He made the one that loves him the most, the one who feeds him and gives him the best life possible, bleed... It broke my heart.



Luckily I was referred to Erin through a friend. He did a month of board and train. It's almost as if I have a completely different dog, a way better version! Erin sent me videos of his progression along the way but the last video was the most amazing video. It was the best day of my life to witness my dog in a pen with 4 other dogs and not show any sort of aggression what so ever. I never EVER would have thought that was possible. I am so proud of my boy but most of all I am so thankful to have finally found someone that can help as we've tried different training in the past. I did not want to give up but I just didn't know what to do.



Erin is a life saver!!



His heel is now on point, if there weren't leash laws he totally has the potential to be an off leash dog. He is also Ecollar trained which gives me the confidence that I didn't have before. I actually look forward to going out and being able to take my dog with me. We are going to join agility over the winter because he can now be in group settings which was literally impossible to do before. He also now knows "place" which means he is not to move until I let him. Helps wonderfully when company or the pizza guy comes over lol.



By no means is he a perfect dog but I now have the tools and the confidence that I didn't have before and we WILL totally get there! I highly recommend Erin to anyone who is having issues with their dogs. She is comparable to Cesar Milan in my opinion. Thanks again girl, you rock!!

I would recommend Paws Unleashed AB to anyone who has a dog!! We have a 1 year old Pitty who had very bad behaviours beyond what we could handle. We just got her home and she is a different dog!! I would highly recommend Paws Unleashed for any behavioral, or training issues you may have with your dog. Along with Erin's methods of working with not only your dog but you as well, definitely get results.

Our Rottweiler is extremely high energy and can definitely be stubborn at times. Because of this recall tended to be a problem, as well as some aggression towards other dogs.

And with myself having a disability this posed as a problem when it came to training her for certain things.

Erin had originally done some work with Roxy a while back in our home. We then put her in a two week board and train this past summer to further her training some more.

Certainly happy with the results that we saw once her board and train was finished. And with continuing the work that Erin showed us, Roxy the Rottie has shown vast improvements!

I took my puppy to Paws Unleashed for a few nights of boarding and while he was there Erin also worked with him on his manners around other dogs and his leash manners! I was updated on how he was doing through messages, pictures and videos which made me so happy to see how much fun he was having and how well he was responding to the work she was doing with him! I am so glad I made the choice to board him here and I will for sure be bringing him back in the future! A very reliable and knowledgeable place! I would recommend Paws Unleashed to anyone!! :)

I have nothing but great things to say about paws unleashed I got a rescue through them; with this being my first rescue Erin was there to answer any of my questions at any time of the day! I continue to take him out there for the drop in classes and absolutely LOVE it. The support they continue to dish out is phenomenal, they really do go above and beyond. You can tell that she Is very passionate about her work! Highly recommend paws unleashed to anyone!!!!!!

I have had the most positive experience going through erin for help with my pups and would recommend her to anyone that owns a dog :) my dogs would walk me whenever I took them out and I had become anxious walking them anywhere. I now am able to walk both at the same time and have full confidence bringing them where ever I go! She has helped me not only gain a fun relationship with my dogs but in general helped me understand them. It's nice having a dog who listens to you even with the simplest commands such as sit, down, place and come :) thank you erin for all your help!!! Erin is amazing! Very knowledgeable and encouraging. She does not give up on a dog no matter how challenging he/she may be. Our boy is an anxious overprotective guy who made taking him for walks a nightmare. Erin taught us how to properly use a prong collar and within days we were able to walk him past cars, people, and in new places without a problem. She was able to teach him how to get along with other dogs without him trying to kill the other dog and the muzzle was able to come off.



I recommend Erin to everyone, whether it be problem behaviour to puppy training.

Erin did a fantastic job with our jack russell/border collie helping with her high energy level and crazy anxiety issues. She was with Erin for a full month board and train during which we saw our dog mellow out her energy and move out of her fearful comfort zone to be able to handle new situations with some confidence. Erin gave us the tools to help and better understand our girl's issues and how to handle each situation positively and with control. Her ongoing support is extremely helpful and reassuring. We would definitely reach out to Erin again for education with any future dogs added to the family!

Erin came into our lives about a month and a half ago. We are the owners of a very high strung, reactive, stubborn, but very lovable Doberman Pinscher named Bentley. When we found out that Bentley was going to be a big brother to a tiny human come February I instantly went into panic mode. We were at the point with Bentley where we really didn’t know what else to do to help him. We couldn’t have company over to the house because we didn’t ever know how Bentley would react, we weren’t sleeping through the night because Bentley was up all night batting and whining in his kennel, we were exercising him for sometimes over an hour a day and we still couldn’t manage his energy, and when we took him for walks we had to make sure to constantly be on the lookout for his triggers. We decided to do the one month board and train with Erin through a recommendation from a friend. It was hands down the best decision we ever made. I am confident that once baby comes Bentley is going to be a great big brother. Erin gave us the proper tools and guidance to understand and manage Bentley. For the first time in months Bentley is sleeping in his kennel for the entire night. He is treadmill trained so once -30 hits we can give him the exercise he needs, he has learned to respect boundaries, and he will lay on his bed calmly when we need him to, we also learned how to mentally challenge him which is something he desperately needed. We can have company over and visit without the worry of how Bentley will react. Erin changed our lives, and she helped Bentley to become the dog that we always knew he could be! If you are having trouble with your dog get in touch with Erin, it will be the best decision you ever make!!

It was to the point where I was feeling so discouraged I didn't want to walk him or take him anywhere afraid he would bite someone (he never did).



Hank spent a month in the board and train program he is now a completely different dog. I feel totally confident with him now. I can now enjoy walking him anywhere. We can walk by people off leash and he won't lunge or bark at them. We can have company over and I'm not afraid he'll bite someone. His recall is so great now I feel safe comfortable taking my dog with me wherever I can.



During Hanks stay we got plenty of picture/video updates. We were so happy to hear and see that he had lots of other dogs to socialize with. So even though it was hard having him gone for so long we knew he was having fun and he was getting the training that we couldn't provide him with.



So so so happy with the outcome of our dog's training! Thank you so much to Erin and your team.

We brought our almost 2 year old pit-bull/cattle dog to Erin for a 2 week board and train. Bill (our dog) was a extremely high energy guy who didn’t know how to control himself. He lunged at cars and pulled hard while on leash walks making it difficult and unpleasant to say the least. His social skills with other dogs wasn’t great either so going to a dog park wasn’t really a good option and any dog that went past our house was perceived as a threat and he would bark out of control.



After spending 2 weeks with Erin, Bill came home a different dog. He learned to walk perfect on leash and heal on command, his recall is amazing so off leash is safe and easy. The socializing with the other dogs in Erin’s care have giving Bill some much need life skills and a better idea of how to interact appropriately with other dogs. Now when a dog walks past our house it react slightly but a gentle correction reminds him the other dogs are not his concern. Erin trained Bill to go on our treadmill so regardless of the weather Bill gets his much needed physical and mental exercise.



Not only did Erin train Bill but she trained us as well. She showed us how to be the leader Bill was craving and how to work and spend his energy effectively. She showed us her techniques so that Bill could continue his progress at home even when she wasn’t there to in force his newly learned way of life. Erin did some trouble shooting with what we were doing wrong so that we would be effective once we got Bill back home so that he would go back to his old ways.



Our family is so thankful for the time and effort Erin put into Bill during his stay. We highly recommend her, whether your dog only has a few issues or a lot she can help. A lot of Bills troubles where cleared up just by learning how to use up his energy effectively and him learning how to control himself. For example he would terrible for stealing things and playing keep away to try and get attention when he was bored, that is now a thing of the past.

We brought our 2 dogs to Erin for a 2 week board and train program. My boy, Todd, a 3 year old red heeler who is very high energy and my fiancée boy, Brock, an 8 year old stafordshire bull terrier who was very stubborn and not the best with other dogs.



After a month working with Erin both dogs are home, happy and doing so well. We are so greatful for all Erin's hard work! She really has a way with dogs!

There is no doubt in our minds that Erin has "the gift" with animals. One snap of her fingers and our "boys" are at her mercy! How the heck does she do that??! Two spoiled miniature schnauzers and two dog parents condoning their bad habits - Erin had us all towing the line within minutes lol. Our 11 year old male Levi had us convinced that he couldn't climb our basement stairs because he had slid down them too many times as a pup and was afraid. After being carried up the stairs for almost ten years we mentioned this to Erin and she laughed and said "well this is the last day for that!". In less than three minutes she had convinced him that he could do the stairs. We followed exactly what she taught us for the next three days and by day four he was running up and down the stairs like a pro. Just a prime example of how we let our fur babies rule our lives! Thanks to Erin we were able to put it all back into perspective! This is just a small example of how she has helped us with our boys but listen to what she says and follow through and you will have absolutely no regrets! We are looking forward to having more sessions with Erin in the New Year and would recommend Erin and Paws Unleashed to any and everyone looking for a more balanced life for you and your fur bearing family members! Such talented trainers! They really know their stuff and get results on dogs who would have likely been in serious trouble otherwise. In a world full of people who aren't willing to deal with the hard stuff, Paws Unleashed goes above and beyond.

Over a month ago I was so torn on what to do with my aggressive Boston terrier. As much as I love him I couldn't take him out of the house with out being completely stressed out. I don't know how many times I came home crying or feeling defeated because my dog would attack any dog he seen. He would attack fences until he bled, if a dog was behind it. He started to turn on me when I would try to correct him. He made the one that loves him the most, the one who feeds him and gives him the best life possible, bleed... It broke my heart.



Luckily I was referred to Erin through a friend. He did a month of board and train. It's almost as if I have a completely different dog, a way better version! Erin sent me videos of his progression along the way but the last video was the most amazing video. It was the best day of my life to witness my dog in a pen with 4 other dogs and not show any sort of aggression what so ever. I never EVER would have thought that was possible. I am so proud of my boy but most of all I am so thankful to have finally found someone that can help as we've tried different training in the past. I did not want to give up but I just didn't know what to do.



Erin is a life saver!!



His heel is now on point, if there weren't leash laws he totally has the potential to be an off leash dog. He is also Ecollar trained which gives me the confidence that I didn't have before. I actually look forward to going out and being able to take my dog with me. We are going to join agility over the winter because he can now be in group settings which was literally impossible to do before. He also now knows "place" which means he is not to move until I let him. Helps wonderfully when company or the pizza guy comes over lol.



By no means is he a perfect dog but I now have the tools and the confidence that I didn't have before and we WILL totally get there! I highly recommend Erin to anyone who is having issues with their dogs. She is comparable to Cesar Milan in my opinion. Thanks again girl, you rock!!

I would recommend Paws Unleashed AB to anyone who has a dog!! We have a 1 year old Pitty who had very bad behaviours beyond what we could handle. We just got her home and she is a different dog!! I would highly recommend Paws Unleashed for any behavioral, or training issues you may have with your dog. Along with Erin's methods of working with not only your dog but you as well, definitely get results.

Our Rottweiler is extremely high energy and can definitely be stubborn at times. Because of this recall tended to be a problem, as well as some aggression towards other dogs.

And with myself having a disability this posed as a problem when it came to training her for certain things.

Erin had originally done some work with Roxy a while back in our home. We then put her in a two week board and train this past summer to further her training some more.

Certainly happy with the results that we saw once her board and train was finished. And with continuing the work that Erin showed us, Roxy the Rottie has shown vast improvements!

I took my puppy to Paws Unleashed for a few nights of boarding and while he was there Erin also worked with him on his manners around other dogs and his leash manners! I was updated on how he was doing through messages, pictures and videos which made me so happy to see how much fun he was having and how well he was responding to the work she was doing with him! I am so glad I made the choice to board him here and I will for sure be bringing him back in the future! A very reliable and knowledgeable place! I would recommend Paws Unleashed to anyone!! :)

I have nothing but great things to say about paws unleashed I got a rescue through them; with this being my first rescue Erin was there to answer any of my questions at any time of the day! I continue to take him out there for the drop in classes and absolutely LOVE it. The support they continue to dish out is phenomenal, they really do go above and beyond. I have had the most positive experience going through erin for help with my pups and would recommend her to anyone that owns a dog :) my dogs would walk me whenever I took them out and I had become anxious walking them anywhere. I now am able to walk both at the same time and have full confidence bringing them where ever I go! She has helped me not only gain a fun relationship with my dogs but in general helped me understand them. Erin is amazing! Very knowledgeable and encouraging. She does not give up on a dog no matter how challenging he/she may be. Our boy is an anxious overprotective guy who made taking him for walks a nightmare. Erin taught us how to properly use a prong collar and within days we were able to walk him past cars, people, and in new places without a problem. She was able to teach him how to get along with other dogs without him trying to kill the other dog and the muzzle was able to come off.



I recommend Erin to everyone, whether it be problem behaviour to puppy training.

Erin did a fantastic job with our jack russell/border collie helping with her high energy level and crazy anxiety issues. She was with Erin for a full month board and train during which we saw our dog mellow out her energy and move out of her fearful comfort zone to be able to handle new situations with some confidence. Erin gave us the tools to help and better understand our girl's issues and how to handle each situation positively and with control. Her ongoing support is extremely helpful and reassuring. Erin came into our lives about a month and a half ago. We are the owners of a very high strung, reactive, stubborn, but very lovable Doberman Pinscher named Bentley. When we found out that Bentley was going to be a big brother to a tiny human come February I instantly went into panic mode. We were at the point with Bentley where we really didn’t know what else to do to help him. We couldn’t have company over to the house because we didn’t ever know how Bentley would react, we weren’t sleeping through the night because Bentley was up all night batting and whining in his kennel, we were exercising him for sometimes over an hour a day and we still couldn’t manage his energy, and when we took him for walks we had to make sure to constantly be on the lookout for his triggers. We decided to do the one month board and train with Erin through a recommendation from a friend. It was hands down the best decision we ever made. I am confident that once baby comes Bentley is going to be a great big brother. Erin gave us the proper tools and guidance to understand and manage Bentley. For the first time in months Bentley is sleeping in his kennel for the entire night. He is treadmill trained so once -30 hits we can give him the exercise he needs, he has learned to respect boundaries, and he will lay on his bed calmly when we need him to, we also learned how to mentally challenge him which is something he desperately needed. We can have company over and visit without the worry of how Bentley will react. Erin changed our lives, and she helped Bentley to become the dog that we always knew he could be!
