Peasant Cheese Shop

Very cute little cheese shop in Kensington. Good variety of vintage and upscale cheeses. Of course a little pricey, but great for when having a party or just feel like treating yourself. Good attentive staff and good selection of breads and brioches. They have mini brioche buns only on Saturday, will be trying that out next time for sure. Also, strategically located by a wine shop. Wonder who came first, the wine or the cheese? Either way, nice quaint shop!

What a great little cheese store! I love strong cheese and asked for their strongest. I got home and wow did it ever stink, actually smelled like a smelly farm...kinda not nice but the taste was amazing!

One of my favourite Kensington shops! The staff are SO friendly and helpful. I usually pop in last minute to pick up items for a charcuterie. I give them a group size and amount I want to spend and they always pick incredible bites. The first time I went I thought they might be over-priced as they are a specialty shop, but they are very reasonable, if not better prices than the grocery store :)

These guys did a gift delivery on a Friday afternoon in something like an hour!!! -and with just a simple phone call made it happen like it was nothing. Very helpful, informative, and friendly. The cheese is also awe-some. I am very, very impressed.

I'm from France and I'm so glad to find these products! In addition, the staff is really very friendly (welcoming, smiling ...) I recommend it!

High quality cheese from Europe. If it happened that you are walking on Kensington Rd - make sure to stop by and grab couple slices of cheese, as a snack.

It was amazing! I can't believe I went to other cheese shops, when I found Peasant Cheese Shop, I was amazed!

The staff here are so helpful. I've been going here since they opened. I don't think you could possibly find anything bad to buy at Peasant; they seem to stock nothing but well thought out, high quality goods. Amazing. 💖
