I have been there numerous times and have always received excellent service. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. I never felt pressured to buy anything and was given all the information I needed. I bought my new bike from them and will never go anywhere else. I highly recommend Pedalheads!

I'm a long time customer, basically as soon as they moved to the SW. I've bought a few bikes there over the years and have always found their prices very fair and the service excellent. Alan and Alex always great me by name which is pretty cool considering I only pop in to their shop a couple of times per year. They always have something new and interesting in the shop. As passionate cyclists that try a lot of bike tech, I trust their opinions.

Warranty and customer service end when you walk out the door.

I purchased just over $600 of bike accessories from Pedalheads. The salesperson was helpful, and their shop installed everything for me. One of the items they installed was a set of aero bars (around $100) with adjustable risers, which they installed at a height that didn’t make sense. When I asked about this they weren’t willing to adjust them, told me to do it on my own (which is not a big deal).

A few weeks later, I went to make an adjustment to the height and while loosening the aero bars, one of the screws snapped (half of it was lodged inside of a plastic clip). It was clearly overtightened, or a faulty screw. No big deal, I went back to them hoping they could replace the clip under warranty.

I dropped off the part with their service department and they told me it would take a day or two to check with their distributor on parts. One week later I had not received a call back, so I phoned them - “still waiting to hear from distributor” was the answer. I followed up again weekly for 4 consecutive weeks (never once did they phone me, I had to phone them). The tech suggested I speak to one of the owners, so I left a message. Guess what, same experience, 3 consecutive calls/messages to the owner and not one call back, ever. At this point I gave up and bought a new set somewhere else (it was triathlon season, I needed them ASAP).

A few weeks later (total of 6 weeks after dropping off the part) somebody called me to say the parts were in. While picking up the parts, they asked me to pay $80 for them (the kit was only worth $100). Talk about adding insult to injury! I asked why it wouldn’t be covered under warranty, or at least provided to me as a gesture of customer service, and they told me as long as the aero bars were not broken when I left the store, then they would not cover any parts.

Whether or not you believe the item was defective, their tech over tightened it, or the customer (me) broke the screw, I would hope that you consider my experience with their customer service and warranty support before you shop at Pedalheads.

I have since moved my business over to bike shop called Speed Theory, and in a similar situation (a problem with a training skewer) they were happy to go above and beyond to help me.

Was very impressed with the sales service my girlfriend and I received here. The entire staff was extremely attentive and knowledgable . I highly recommend pedalhead if you're in the market for a new bike or skis. Their level of service is a step up over other shops in the city. Thanks guys!
