I purchased a custom wedding band with 4 birth stones. Which took longer to make than the estimate time. The staff at the store were very friendly however on the SECOND day my wife wore the ring one of the birthstones fell out. They said they would only cover 50% of the replacement cost of the stone and labour even thought it was only worn for TWO days.
First of all I had a bad experience ever, I was shopping a few times before in peoples and that were good, but the recently I went this place, the sales lady was nice and said will have 15% off on the weekend, she will call me if the one I like is included, she called me, I was so happy to go there and paid for the new one not the sample , so I wait for two weeks for my order, it comes one lower quality diamond! And no discount -stay the same price! Why? And they said they will order one next week from head office, so, I left and waiting for their call , unfortunatly they said I can either have the sample or the lower quality one or return it, I'm so disappointed the result from famous company PEOPLES JEWELERY , will never go there again, it is waste of time!
Bought a family ring in November. A clasp broke on it in June. Paid $350 for the ring. Since I bought the ring online it has no warranty. They sent it away for a quote to be fixed and it came back as $180!! For a clasp and a FAKE June birthstone. What!! That is more then half the price of the whole ring. Very disappointed. Will find somewhere else to repair. And haven't even had the ring for a year yet. Very sad.
My fiancé and I came here to buy two simple white gold bands for our engagement. The first salesperson that we dealt with was pleasant and made a special order the rings and a resizing on both (we were only told about one resizing). When we received the call to pick up the rings we went in and spoke with a different salesperson. We had paid the full price for one of the rings ahead of time but were asked to pay additional cost for the resizing that we thought was not required. The salesman only told us that we had to pay and not why we had to pay. He also never spoke directly to my fiancé, but only to me despite her asking questions to him. When he did speak to her he was incredibly rude to her, then he removed his name tag after we had told a different salesperson that we would like to speak to a manager. The other salesperson also refused to tell us his name.
Other than that, the white gold rings we purchased we poorly resized, had not been polished properly, and the rhodium coating wore off in two weeks. A different white gold ring we purchased at a different store 2 months later has still retained the colour.
I would never recommend this store.
