I purchased a couch roughly six months ago and started noticing issues with the product roughly 2 months into owning it. The fabric was pilling and ripping at the seams, and the pills ended up distressing into snags, along with a small rip under the cushion. The couch was very lightly used so I was confused as to how such a new couch was decomposing after such a short time of owning it. I had been in contact with warranty and sent them pictures of the troubled areas as soon as these snags became apparent, I was told if I had returned the couch that I would receive a new one. The couch also started to discolour in certain spots due to minor exposure of sunlight through one of my windows (another indication of poor quality product). It wasn't until later they told me that they had decided after inspection that they would determine if I was able to get a new one or not. I live two hours away, so organized a truck to bring the couch up to Airdie to have it inspected. Upon arrival, the couch was barely even looked at, and was told that a cat had caused the damages. I do not own a cat, or an animal for that matter, but I believe there wasn't anything I could have done to prevent the damages that occurred to the couch. I stressed many times that I do not own an animal, but was told in return that the damages were due to a cat and the lady helping me was aggressive in telling me I was wrong. I was also told that they would not be able to resell the couch due to its condition, so would not be able to take it back, so I question what their warranty actually does cover. The way the situation was handled was very unprofessional and I was talked to in a very condescending fashion, along with the false guarantee that a new couch would replace the faulty one they had sold me. I definitely recommend taking your business elsewhere and save yourself the frustrations of dealing with this company and the poor quality of product they sell.

Awful experience with Perfect home, had same experience as others. Bought a table and was told it was in stock and would be delivered in two weeks. Got a call from the warehouse and was told only parts of the table were here and they were waiting for another shipment. Called Airdrie warehouse office, table (all of it) is in transit. No sign of table. I called the store again and spoke to Maurice who sold the table to me in the first place and he said he would make some phone calls and get back to me, no call. Called again, spoke to sales manager (who previously in store flippantly told me it was in stock) that it would be in Calgary in 1.5 weeks. Called again Airdrie warehouse office four days before it is to be shipped, no sign of table. Was told the truck didn't come during the week and they don't why. I asked the Airdrie warehouse reception if the owner was aware of the poor service his store provides, she said she would bring it to his attention. we'll see. If the table is not here by Wednesday going in for a full refund. Don't ever ever buy from this store, you'll be sorry. If I could give a negative star I would.

My experience with Perfect Home was awful. They promised me a 2 week delivery date for my furniture...said it was in stock and just had to be transported. This delivery date was critical as the furniture was required for a function. I am 4 weeks deep and still no sign of my furniture. I have called 3 times and no one returns my phone calls. I finally received a call back and they can't give me a date and said it is a minimum of 2 additional weeks. Awful service!

The furniture is amazing, always fall in love with a piece that surrounding stores can't beat. Great, friendly sales staff and very flexible options (pick your stain for wood, pick your fabric). Prices are higher but this is lifetime furniture. We keep going back every year for our next big purchase, 3 years straight, always consistent.

Update: Just call Lane furniture head office. They will send you the broken part absolutely free of charge. Don't bother dealing with these crooks that WILL charge you for your repairs. I've noticed that the company name has changed since I originally wrote this review. So maybe they have changed some of their policies too.

We had purchased a reclining armchair from Lane and it was great until the reclining metal part underneath broke apart .When I called to see if I could speak to someone in regards to getting it repaired I was told that I would have to email the "service gal" and "you can only email her! It's company policy". When I explained that I would prefer to speak to someone or leave a voicemail and I was asked "well don't you own a computer?"

When I asked if it was possible to get service from another location I was told the "owners own both this location and the location in Airdrie".

P.S.
The armchair is lovely. Unfortunately we can't use it!
