Beautiful views
Relaxing and tranquil.
Take Simple snacks and trail mix with you.
As for children they need comfortable boots and plenty of water.

Fantastic place to camp or visit for the day. More good trails for all skill levels and distances than I could ever count. Excellent campgrounds with good lakes for fishing, kayaking or enjoying a picnic on the shore.

Did the Sarrail Ridge hike. Amazing views, cool vantage points, and a lot of fun. Definitely a favourite. Also looks to be a pretty popular hike as the trail was pretty busy.

While going up/down, stick towards the gully as it is easier, else you are going to have to do more scrambling.

Definitely worth the drive. Many campgrounds to choose from, very clean and we'll run. We visited in mid August so many trails and areas closed due to bear activity but still had a great time. Spent most of time at upper lake Kananaskis. Very nice and lots to see and do

Awesome 2 lakes that are not far away from each other. Usually gets busy on the weekend and parking is a struggle but not a big deal, as you can still park on the side of the road. Also, I would like to give credits to the RCMP and the Alberta Parks officer who helped us to change to a spare tire as we got a flat tire for some reasons. Will be going back for sure!

It's beautiful and quiet with few visitors. Gorgeous views. Take a lunch and enjoy the scenery.

One of the best provincial park in Alberta and is so close to home! Lots of activities, nice hikibg trails, canoeing / kayaking options and horse back riding as well.

Awesome place to go camping and undertake some outdoor adventure, however some of the public buildings, are in dire need of repairs. Not sure if Alberta Parks or the contractors who supposedly are in charge of maintenance of the park are the ones who make the decision of what building maintenance is performed but someone need to do it. If the park was not lacking in this area 5 stars would have easily been attainable.

User

Absolutely beautiful everywhere you go. There are tons of trails and each of them is really well maintained. Hikes for all ages and skill levels.

Great to get away. Lots of trails and big mountains. Good for use in all sessions.

User

A great (and free) place for cross country skiing in the winter. Lots of track-set trails! Also a great place for hiking and camping in the warm seasons too!

User

A beautiful part of Canada. Spectacular views, amazing hikes. The roads are well ploughed in the winter.

I love this park and have been going here since I was a child. It is very senic and well cared for. Good to visit both in summer and winter.
