Food was great but there was no place to sit. Usually people say Phil and Sebastian servers are rude and arrogant. Often that's the case in Chinook and Marda Loop but they're friendlier at the 4th St SW location.

Great coffee and space. I’ve had lots of business meetings here but it’s also just a cozy place to study!

What is it with Canadian coffee shops and computers. People sit there taking up a table for hours while potential customers walk out the door. Bad business.. this place was full of wifi abusers and not paying customers. I guess that’s why they charge $5 for a latte.. They look cool though 🙄

What can be said about P&S that hasn't been said before? If you are serious about coffee, you gotta try them out. I usually get coffee beans here and an espresso and I am never disappointed. I only wish they would discount the coffee beans that are more than 2-3 weeks old.
On this occasion I came with family on a slower day. The barista attempted a conversation with every customer which never happens at the bigger coffee chain. The latte art was beautiful and the drinks tasted great.

I live in ML. Went here for a coffee and breaky sandwich a few weeks ago. Staff are very unfriendly ( rude actually) and don't smile at all. Got my sandwich literally dropped on my table on a wooden board like I was inconveniencing this cook with a beard, and he abruptly took off with a stone face. I had to get up and ask at the kitchen door for cutlery and he looked at me like I was an alien. He then took his hand and grabbed a knife and fork with his bare hand on the non handle area and said " here" and snarled and turned his back.

A guy saw me a little disdained and approached me saying " I am the owner" in a very uppity way with his entourage of dogs, wife, and preppy dressed family in tow. I relayed what just happened and it was clear he could not care less. Indeed, at one point he said " I'm surprised by this" not even an apology or an offer to buy me a free coffee or anything. Yet, having now read the reviews I now understand.

Will not go back. PS. The Java is distasteful.

Great atmosphere. Love the coffee and the morning breakfast choices are delicious. Portions for food are not over sized but just right.

Really nice atmosphere and very modern. Very crowded during rush hours and it can be hard to find a seat so I would suggest getting there early to get a table. Baristas are very friendly and the coffee and food are great! A bit pricey tho.

The breakfast egg sandwich is yummy. Tastes like it has a hint of ketchup in it. It took a few minutes to make though.

The atmosphere is great for social meetings if you can get in. It's pretty busy but there are usually spots around. The staff are great and friendly, and the coffee and food are great. Just be prepared for steep prices, especially for food. There's no difference between the deluxe egg sandwich and the egg sandwich so don't spend the extra dollar. And the food has gone a little downhill. Egg sandwich used to come with chips and one or two pickle slices.
