Piano With Lara

Piano lessons, music theory, and early childhood music from my studio in Edmonton's Strathcona neighbourhood.

Hi! My name is Lara, and I'm a piano teacher who recently relocated to Edmonton. I offer lessons in my studio near the intersection of 99th Street and Whyte Ave.

I take students starting at age 4, up to any age of adult. Beginners and transfer students are both welcome! I also prepare students for RCM exams.

School-age students can expect at least one recital and two group lessons per year, and adult students will have their own group lesson once a year, as well as the option to participate in the recital.

One of the things I am passionate about is how to integrate music and a practice routine into family life. It's one of the things most families find difficult to establish and I am here to support you.

I am also available during the day for homeschooling families. Contact me to discuss the details.

A little about me: I've been playing piano since I was three and teaching since I was sixteen in professional music studios (in Sherwood Park and Toronto) and out of my home. I am a member of the Alberta Piano Teachers' Association, and I am currently working toward my ARCT from the Royal Conservatory of Music. I have also completed some Suzuki training, because I teach Suzuki-inspired Early Childhood Music Education classes.
