Okay Plaster Paint Fans! Here is a chance for you to help us get creative! We are going to take this adorable bed frame and give it new life, but I want to hear from you as to what colours and techniques to use. This week you are going to vote on the colour. Comment below with the name of the colour you think should be our base! (Colour swatches in pictures) Simple White, Mink, Carbon Grey, Old Red, Bella, Autumn or French Blue.

Who else loves bargain hunting?? As garage sale season is winding down, here is a video on searching for furniture that makes a great Plaster Paint project. Garage sales, thrift stores and local buy and sell pages are a great place to look for a piece of furniture you can give a custom look for a fraction of the price!

How much should I distress? Remember that often, less is more. You want your piece to look like it naturally wore down over time, not like it was in the middle of a war or in a mud bog. Our best advice is to distress a little, live with it for a few days and come back to it. You can distress a little more or leave it as-is, then seal it with paste wax or liquid wax once you are happy with it. Remember, if you do over-distress, you can easily touch up or just put another thin coat on and try again...the versatility of Plaster Paint is your friend!
