Thank you to the wonderful staff at Plato's Closet - Strathcona, AB when they were having their 90% off sale. I have back and leg problems that flared up while shopping there. The staff brought me a chair to sit down at the front desk while they were ringing through my purchase because standing was causing alot of pain for me. Then their lovely staff even carried my bags out to my car for me � I highly recommend this store not only for the fabulous finds at really affordable prices, but, because their staff is always very considerate! Thank you!

I came in yesterday and got 2 Victoria's Secret PINK sweaters and a pair of pants that hasn't been worn I was very impressed with the prices and staff were awesome! I am definitely coming back!

Went in today for the first time and had a great experience. It was busy but the ladies were helpful. I explained it was my first time and they answered my questions re: where everything was. You certainly do need to be an independent shopper - no one’s going to be running to get you different sizes if you’re using the change room or anything but having the amount of staff they need on shift is part of what keeps the costs what they are. I tried on 11 items and left with 3 for a total of $31. Definitely happy with my purchases.

I've found some really great things at this store for decent prices, that being said- I have also sold things to them at this store for almost nothing back. I do understand this because obviously they need to make money, and the whole point of a consignment shop is that you're buying items at a cheap price but it does suck to turn in a bunch of clothing (most of which I bought for $20 a piece) for only $40 back.

I'm also starting to have more of a problem with them allowing people to put things on hold through Instagram or Facebook. Most stores when they post a picture of a shirt or outfit they do it for promotional reasons, to showcase what items they have in, then you have to go into the store and buy it, but here it seems like they just put an outfit on social media and INSTANTLY someone asks to put it on hold. There is of course only 1 of this item at the store and I find this very frustrating to think that 'oh that looks cute! Maybe I'll go try it on after work' only to find out that someone has basically put dibs on it.

I'm most likely going to keep shopping here, but I might try and sell my clothes elsewhere

Checked out this location today. Maybe I was expecting too much but I was kind of disappointed. It's much bigger than the one in Red Deer but quality over quantity. Red Deer is a much better store. Overall the staff was nice. I would probably stop in again if I was in the city.

Me and my friend went in to Plato’s closet a few weeks ago and really loved the items we found. If you’re looking for more affordable used clothing then it’s great. Selling items is kind of a joke and seems like they pick super random stuff out of your bag for no specific reason so you never have a really good idea what to bring in. Overall that stuff isn’t a huge deal but I will say both times going in a felt pretty uncomfortable. The women there never said hello or were by any means friendly. I think this is honestly the first review I’ve left but I really have always hated when you go to a store and the staff act like they’re more superior. It’s really a bummer since I did like what they carried. I don’t know if I’ll be returning.

I was told to come here excited to get some good stuff. I ended up seeing ardenes and George. I saw a dynamite shirt I got for 8$ at the store and was selling for 12$ there. What a waste. This is more of a thrift store like value village or goodwill. Not a consignment store.

I echo the other poorly rated reviews with regards to the consignment side. It seemed like the girls didn't want to go through the clothes. If you don't want to accept clothes look into putting into place a certain time or limit of intake then.



My shopping experience is based on a couple times being in there. Once before pregnancy and once after my son was born. Both experiences I felt like several clothes prices were way overpriced with items that had so much piling and even came across several items with animal hair which turned me away from the store for good.

Worst place ever brought in some really nice silver jeans plus size and was told that they werent in style what a joke worst consingment store ever
