Points West Living Hospice Description
The philosophy of the hospice is to improve the quality of life for those nearing the end of their lives. Every referral to our facility will be assessed on an individual basis, but those that are admitted to the hospice are not requiring or requesting transfers back and forth to the hospital on a regular basis.
Shamrock Pharmacy is located within the building, and the hospice staff work closely with the pharmacists to ensure that all medications are available to keep you as comfortable as possible.
Points West Living and Alberta Health Services are partners in the hospice.
With this partnership it means that you or your loved ones will not be charged for your stay at the hospice.
Family and friends are welcome to visit at any time and to take part in care giving if they so wish.
As well as having large private rooms, there are other areas for both you and your loved ones to use.
These areas include: outside patio, kitchen, dining room and living room, chapel, and several alcoves where you can sit and visit.
