Wayne Vold sang the Canadian National anthem today July 1st & did a wonderful job...to be honest he sang the anthem the way it should be sung...in my opinion he should sing it ever day !!! 👍

User

Thanks everyone that’s supported Girl Guides

User

Ponoka stampede is the best..you are right down and personal with the contestants and those wagon races it is so exciting to have them right there where you can actually here what the drivers are saying.

Great fireworks after too.

User

Ponoka puts on an awesome rodeo. The whole town gets in the spirit. Pancake breakfasts and lunches and smiles and friendly and welcoming. RVs parked in every nook and piece of grass. Rodeo is great entertainment and the Chucks are awesome. I miss the chariots that used to come. We take in this rodeo and don't bother with the commercialized Calgary rodeo.

User

Ponoka Stampede is a excellent deal. Did not have to pay for parking or midway. Just if you wanted to go to Rodeo and chucks you payed to get in. At a very reasonable price. Class act show!!

User

Ponoka Stampede Rodeo is one of the greatest outdoor rodeos in southern Alberta.

User

My wife and I are first-timers to the Ponoka Stampede, and I must say... it certainly did NOT disappoint! Great value, intense action & excitement, and the most friendly and hospitable community we have had the pleasure of visiting; coming all the way from Thunder Bay, Ontario to experience it. Kudos to rodeo organizers here, for putting on a class act!

User

I make a point of attending every year. Great fun, great food, fireworks are awesome. People and the hospitality of the people is Awesome! Highly recommend attending!

User

I go every year to take my grandchildren. Always a good time.

User

Hands down the best stampede in Alberta! Beats Calgary any day!

User

Great event. Friendly help to find whatever you are needing. Grounds are clean. Entertainment is top notch. Pricing for rodeo is reasonable. Good for whole family. Love the people moved too! Everyone should experience this at least once but I suggest more than that. So much to see n do. Came from Dryden Ontario. Concert was great: Roadhammers. Grandstand was nice as well so no worries about the weather. Nice end with fireworks.

User

Camped out in Ponoka for the week and had a blast. The people where great everywhere we went. This rodeo is a must see. Go early so you can catch the 9 am events in the other stadium.

User

Amazing talent. Ponoka always does a bang up job.

This is a better show than the Calgary stampede.

User

Always a great time! 👏🎉🇨🇦🏇

User

This was our third trip to the Ponoka Stampede and we'll certainly be going back again next year! We get FREE camping with our motorhome and always park in the lot just north of the Calnash Ag Events Centre. We also enjoy watching the mounted shooters competition most morning in the Calnash Centre.

User

The Bull Riding event was awesome!! Couple kinks for the first night were ironed out quickly and it was a great time to be had by all. We were really disappointed in the cover band, BCDC, we had high expectations considering how well known they are but I have to say there is so much better talent out there to showcase at an event like this. I normally enjoy AC/DC, the music itself was great Friday but the singing could make your ears bleed. Not enough alcohol to endure that. 😕

User

My first time at the Ponoka Stampede and it was great!! Beautiful grounds, amazing scenery!

User

Would be better if they would actually talk about the pony chuckwagons. They run there too and have times just as fast if not faster then the big wagons. But never a word about them which is NOT right.

User

The overall experience was ok but the Muslim sounding name terrorist joke was a bit like whoa buddy really? and any event where you have to open palm slap a horse in the face to get it to do what you want should not be allowed. That was the Big Red Machine team btw in the team saddling event. Great intermission show tho with the buffalo
