I'm from the states and I'm always excited when a new fast food restaurant from home opens up here. I love Popeyes. Always have. Better than KFC. The best thing about Popeyes is the choice in sides. Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, coleslaw, beans and rice and of course the delicious biscuits! KFC has fries and coleslaw. But go early or be prepared to stand in a long line. I'm sure it will die down after a while.

I tried the butterfly shrimp and chicken made

With spicy batter. It was my first time trying it and was very impressed to say the least . The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy in the inside . The shrimp was flavourful and was a great complimentary side dish alongside. I was anticipating the grand opening of this location and overheard through a co-worker that it had finally opened before Christmas . The line up was long but we did not have to wait very long for our order to come through . Best tasting chicken I've had in a very long time :)

I seen the line ups blocking residents on the news, so I went after 7pm, the drive thru didn't have a line up onto the street, the chicken is similar to KFC but not as greasy, smashed potaters creamy & had gravy, biscuits like I had in the U.S. franchises, they had employees inside helping to guide U in & out, not cheap, restaurant was full, gooder eatin though

Got there just before it opened and was glad as we where third in line. Had the 4 piece 1/2 n 1/2 with mac n cheese with a corn on the cob. Wife had the tenders and fries. Everything was so good. Will definitely be going back.

Fantastic meal and excellent service! It was sat at supper so they were crazy busy but the young girl at the till was very friendly and helpful. Skipped the drive in wait by walking up, only took 8 min for my order.



Best white meat fried chicken ever. Most places over cook the breasts and backs to get the thighs done, but Popeyes nailed it. Biscuits perfect, fries a touch cool but still decent.



Only thing missing was the sweet tea you get in the US locations. Ah well. It's still worth driving from Airdrie for. Nice work, guys!

Will visit when I'm in Calgary again 9 out of 10

The location was easy to find .. the service is fast and friendly enjoyed the meal combo options the prices are decent

There was a huge line up in the drive thru actually making traffic on the street difficult to maneuver. The line up was pissing some people off enough that they left making me and my party move quicker ahead.

It takes time to order, time to get goodbye when you get it the chicken was very good. We ordered two-three piece meal not spicy and one-three piece half and half. Fabulous chicken. Great coleslaw, over cooked corn on the cob. And the weirdest gravy..the texture and taste is not my kind of gravy at all. Order extra side of fries...not sure of the seasoning but the fries are good

Popeyes is the best ever!! I love the popcorn shrimp � the biscuit and mac and cheese. I would give a five star but there was no where to eat in and had to get my food to go and eat in Walmart parking lot.

Arrived 10 minutes before they opened and there were at least a dozen people in line ahead of me and many more behind me just before I placed my order. Got lunch for a few of my coworkers and I. We had their chicken, popcorn shrimp and biscuits. Overall, we liked it! The chicken was fairly moist and had a good crispness outside without being greasy, the popcorn shrimp was tasty with some spicy kick, and the biscuits were quite delicious.

We come here quite often but this time they made it too oily. The crust was more brown than the signature golden it usually is.

We didn't have a good feeling after eating.

Should maintain the quality.

This was the first time I had tried Popeyes chicken. We got the 16 piece chicken (mild), it was ok but I found it quite greasy. I prefer KFC to be honest. I got the chicken tenders for my son, they were tasty but very spicy and we got the mild stuff! Considering we had to wait in line for half an hour in the drive thru, I will not be returning to Popeyes in the near future!

Since the opening back in October, I finally got my chicken. Not impressed at all with the taste. Being I'm from the crescent city, taste is totally off, but I couldn't imagine the taste being the same as crossed the border☹️. An addition would be to add the sweet tea, that would be so awesome. The location sucks😞! If Cajun is coming north, please represent, I'm from the "504" baby, recognize😎

Normally a great expeince and happness withthis place except yesterday. Went through drive through. Asked for 12 piece chiken only no legs......got 11 pieces 7 of which were wings and the chicken which is normally niceand moist was very very dry.

Went to Popeyes with my wife cause we wanted a snack. Ordered a 3 piece combo, got home and there was only 2 pieces.

Called and left a message, giving them a chance to sort it out, never got a call back, nothing.

Won’t be back, check your order when your there, is advise everyone to open their boxes and ensure everything is there.

Went to Popeyes for the first time yesterday and got the 8 piece with fries and it cost me more there then it would at KFC and I would of got more for my money never again

So my friend from work and i went to Popeyes and we had orders for 3 other people from work it wasn't to busy we were out of there in 15-20 minutes but once we got back we noticed we were missing 3 different orders of fries and 2 orders of the seafood sauce and i confirmed with the person you get a sauce for the shrimp platter and you get two sides with each I even asked if there were fries in the boxes but we were in a rush to get back to work so no one was happy with the order once we realize what we brought back not sure if any of us will go back there even though the food did taste Good but not getting what we paid for is just bad business

I ordered the 4 piece spicy chicken, red beans & rice, and the Mac & Cheese. The chicken was good beans and rice also good. Mac & Cheese was not good at all. The portion size for the sides is insufficient if you're going to share. Worth the line up and the hype? Nope. Would I go back? Not any time soon.

Worst experience ever!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love and have told my girlfriend about how great Popeyes is (was).

We waited 20 min for 3 piece chicken meal and 3 tenders. We were told ten minutes for three nine Spicy or two minutes for two none spicy.

We excepted.

We found no tenders in the bag.

I will never be able to talk her into trying again.

Drive threw never again!

Went last night my second time but first time sit down and definitely my last

Ordered 3 combos and one sandwhich

Bit into it there was hair ... took it to the counter the cashier said it's tomatoe ...which part ??

They made a new one .... half way through there was a longer strand of hair �in that one too.... seriously ??????

Unfortunately I think hygiene standards are very low ... I get sick just thinking of it
