I bought the Power In Motion battery powered Heated Gloves for use in winter commuter cycling. The gloves are great and kept my fingers warm and happy on my hour long ride to work in temperatures as low as -25C. As they are a thinner liner style of glove, it is best to put another glove on top. I opt for a water proof one in the cold and that seems to do a great job without adding too much bulk.

Update:

After almost 4 years one of my batteries has died. It saw many uses and finally didn't hold a charge anymore. But I ordered a new one online (I live in Nova Scotia) and it arrived within a week.

Ken and his team are very helpful and have over the five plus years that I have dealt with them have been first class in our dealings. I have had a chance to use their heated gloves and vests in beta versions as well as the most recent version and can vouch for the warmth and comfort they provide as well as the ability to work outside in the cold for extended periods. I am happy that Ken has put together great products and a group of people that has customer service as their key value. Ken personally backs up his pruducts and services. I would recommend Power in Motion for all your heated wear, electric bicycle supply and support needs.

I had some software problems with the bike I bought. These problems were with the manufacturer. Easy Motion worked very hard to rectify the problem. They serviced it as best they could. Eventually Easy Motion, on my behalf, became the mediator. They negotiated a return and replacement e bike for me. Great help from all the staff over the period of problems.

I had a lot of success working with these guys. Jerome, their mechanic, managed to install a e-bike conversion kit in a few hours with short notice. This enabled me to tick this little project off my list (fast than I expected) and get me on enjoying the experience. Overall: quality parts; good recommendations/expertise; excellent customer service. Would recommend going to see these guys.

Avoid this place.

I don't know much about bikes. I bought a $600 norco here. Had a couple mechanical issues when I got it home.

They 'tuned' the bike before I took it out of the shop. When I got home my buddy who used to work in a bike shop was looking at it before I took it on a ride. He stepped on the front tire and twisted the bars (he knew what was going to happen). They hadn't tightened whatever connects the handle bars to the front tire. He said if it had happened while I was riding I could have injured myself.

I tightened it myself and tried to twist it again and it was fine. Took the bike on a couple rides and it had an issue between 3rd and 4th gear on the tire side. Picked the wrong gear sometimes and other times was making a sound like it was trying to switch gears when it shouldn't. Only happened in 3rd and 4th.

Was told when I bought the bike I had free tune ups for a year. Brought it back in to fix the gear issue and I told them about the twisting thing and the gear issue. They didn't seem to care or have any remorse about selling me a poorly tuned bike. Then they told me I only get one free tune up and this would be it.. thanks, so no tune ups for a year and my free tune up is to fix an issue that the bike had when I bought it.

There still can be an issue on the bike in 3rd or 4th, but not as bad as it was and it doesn't try to change gears anymore, so at least they fixed something.

I purchased their heated gloves and had no end of problems. I work in forestry outside so I had an excellent opportunity to really test their product and customer service. These gloves are no warmer on high than those disposable hand warmers, and they are so expensive you could buy many hundreds of warmers for the same price, probably more warmers than you get charges of the glove batteries.

Worse, on high you only get about three hours with two batteries so you need to run them colder than disposable hand warmers. They are also extremely cumbersome and essentially impossible to do any fine work with.

But then the issues started. The gloves would cut out intermittently. Even when I tried a new stick man wire, the problem continued. A specific movement of the wrist in a certain way and they'd shut off. I got in touch with the company and although they assured me they listened to their customers, they ended up giving me less than half of my money back for the package, because there were a few spots of paint on the liner.

They claim a one year manufacturers warranty but apparently this is nonsense because mine were defective and they refused to refund me.

I know good outdoor gear and I would definitely not advise anyone in an outdoor industry to buy these, both because of the product quality and their customer service.

I'm very happy with the MotionHeat glove liners I purchased at Power in Motion. They have been essential when I work outdoors in the cold. I can also use them when riding my bike all year round!

Service there was really great! They explained in detail how the gloves worked, and worked with me. They even had someone to explain in French for me.
