Yesterday we set off on our COUNTRY FARMS & COUNTRY CHARM adventure to the Acadia Valley area. What a day!
Local Agronomist Adrian Bouwer hopped on the bus to provide some insight into the area and the farm operations as we traveled through the prairie. At our first stop we enjoyed a generous lunch complete with homemade pie for dessert at The Prairie Elevator Museum and Teahouse followed by a guided tour of the Elevator and Catalog House.
Then, we were off to the Acadia Br...ethren Hutterite Colony where we were invited into the dairy for a first hand look at where our milk comes from, toured the buildings and then sat down to an afternoon tea. Bread, honey, desserts and fresh corn on the cob were served. It was heavenly. Everyone got to purchase some goodies to bring home with them and we know they will be thoroughly enjoyed.
We ended the day at Kuhn Farms where we learned about combining, harvesting and farm operations behind the scenes. Our final treat was dinner, prepared by some lovely local ladies, and was served in the farm shop- an authentic harvest-time experience.

This full-day tour begins with a visit to the ALBERTA PRAIRIE ELEVATOR MUSEUM and catalog house in Acadia Valley, followed by a light lunch in the Elevator’s tearoom. The afternoon will be spent having an exclusive peek into the everyday lives of the ACADIA BRETHREN HUTTERITE COLONY. There will be time to explore the farming and colony operations, enjoying some homemade bread and jam, visiting with the women who run... the Colony kitchen, and purchasing some home-made and grown goodies to take home – an experience not to be missed. Then it’s off to KUHN FARMS for the evening, which begins with an insightful tour of the combine harvesting process. The day ends in the field, joining farm hands for a locally prepared feast. Vickie is one of our veteran drivers and we just don’t know where we would be without her sometimes. She’s a skilled driver whom we can always rely on to take on those ugly winter storms and show Mother Nature who’s boss. She’s always friendly with our passengers and we’ve received many compliments on her great service. We can always call on Vickie to help us out in a pinch by picking up extra shifts or covering when needed.

Today and tomorrow we are hiking the hoodoos and hunting for dinosaur fossils at Dinosaur Provincial Park Unesco World Heritage Site. We have ONE seat left for tomorrow’s tour from Calgary!

The best shuttle service I have used. Flying to Calgary again in July and will be reserving Prairie Sprinter again to Medicine Hat.

Thank you SO much for the incredible service! I have had the pleasure of traveling in your shuttle to and from Calgary multiple times, every driver I have ever had has been outstanding! Thank you for always having impeccable service.. and I really appreciate your in town shuttle services as well. I never have a party without hiring you guys to take everyone home at the end of the night!!

Shuttle picked up a bunch of us who's plane got diverted from Lethbridge.

They arrived quickly and got us on the road safely all the way to Lethbridge in good time given the poor conditions.

They even offered granola bars and water since none of us were able to eat before departing the Medicine Hat Airport.



Overall great service, highly recommend for anyone

I took the shuttle from Med Hat to Calgary and I forgot my backpack on the shuttle. As soon as I noticed I called and she put me right through to my shuttle driver, Isabele. Isabele arranged to leave it at one of their stops and I was able to pick it up later that day. Thank you so much Isabele, you are awesome. I used to travel with the competition but switched a couple of years ago. There customer service is incredible!!

I took the Calgary to Dinosaur Provincial Park day tour with Isabelle and had a great time! She is so friendly, knowledgeable and goes above and beyond to make sure that passengers are comfortable on the ride to and from the park. The park itself was great. It was definitely what I was looking for, as it focuses mostly on hiking and getting up close and personal with the badlands and dinosaur fossils. A must see for anyone looking for an interesting adventure!

Fantastic service . Very friendly and definitely will be riding with them again.

Amazing service, keeps great time, honast prices, clean and very comfortable, Great Driver :-)
