Profero Energy brings new capability to the production of oil resources which are presently unrecoverable. This refers to conventional oil that remains when standard production techniques are exhausted plus reservoirs lacking pressure and certain heavy oil. Estimates of global unrecoverable resources range from 7. 5-11. 5 trillion barrels a multiple of 5 + compared to recoverable oil reserves. This represents a potential energy source of proven reserves capable of meeting decades of demand. Profero has proprietary technology which accelerates the naturally occurring process of methanogenesis. This involves bacteria and archea biodegrading oil creating methane. This methane can be produced or used to pressurize the reservoir thereby increasing production rates and recovering more of the oil in place. The technology has no adverse environmental effects and improves the environmental impact of some existing production techniques.
