Flipping a property has been something Chris Shewchuk and I have contemplated for years. The search for the perfect property was tough, and just when we thought we wouldn't find the one - 428 Willowdale "popped" up on the market at the beginning of November in 2013. Our goals are to renovate then sell a "done-right" quality, safe, and honest home that will last. Far too many flipped properties in this city are "shotty" patch jobs done by get-rich-quick renovators. From what we have seen, most of these homes are finished with the cheapest finishes, materials, and products (in price and quality). Without a doubt, buyers would inevitably re-do the flipped property. . . sadly sending even more construction refuse to the landfill. How can anyone trust a newly renovated home close to the city? We want to share our progress from start to finish and share what we find along the way. We are not experts by any means. . . but no matter how long (or how much) it takes, we are going to search for the right answers and renovate this house to what the future owners deserve: a safe environment to live in, enjoy, and create memories within. We have learned so much already, and are so excited to continue learning from this property!
