Protospace - Calgary'S Makerspace

Calgary's very own community run makerspace. I have learned so much here and had access to tools I could never afford or maintain.

The members are welcoming, friendly and helpful. Visit any tuesday night open house to see for yourself.

I'm biased as a member, but the people are great and everyone there is happy to help and offer suggestions with whatever your project is.

I would definitely recommend coming to check us out on a Tuesday evening.

It's like the Mythbusters workshop, except that you can join it! This is the best place to learn how to make things. I joined in early 2015, and in less than a year I learned everything I needed in order to build my own semi-robotic camera accessories, from scratch! They've got two huge bays full of tools of all sizes, for woodworking, metalworking, plastic fabrication, 3D printing, laser cutting, and on and on. But best of all, it's got over 100 really skilled makers, ready and willing to help you learn. It's a super friendly place where there are no dumb questions or dumb projects.
