Pulcinella Calgary Description
Executive Chef Domenic Tudda spent his childhood years learning of Italian cuisine while his family owned and operated Stromboli's restaurant in Calgary. He furthered his education by undergoing extensive culinary training in Italy and has been able to continue his parent's legacy of bringing unique and incredibly authentic Italian dining to Calgarians. One of the most revered of these ventures is Ristorante Pulcinella, where Domenic first earned distinction when his international training crossed borders and entered Calgary in the spring of 2006. One of the few APN (Associazione Pizzaioli Napolitani) certified pizzerias in the world, Domenic has been able to showcase his culinary skills, incredible wine knowledge, and passion for Italian cuisine to provide Calgary with a truly artistic, original and delicious experience not soon to be forgotten. Certainly not your classical North American pizza, it's definitely different, but definitely delicious

Our Pizza Romana: tomato sauce, mozzarella, anchovies, oregano, parmigiano, and basil. Made with love in our wood fired oven in the traditional and authentic Napoletana style.
When you've got about 100 Italians coming by, you have to serve fried jalapenos and garlic in olive oil. They're crazy addictive, especially when you eat them with fresh focaccia bread. And while they're not on our menu, feel free to ask your server if we've got some in the house to fry up for you!
A couple of photos from our winemakers dinner with Pasetti Vini on Monday night. 1) Mussels from Abruzzo with saffron, rapini and celery 2) Buffalo Mozzarella with lemon chips! (So good, even if we do say so ourselves!)

We just stopped in for a salad and pizza before going out for the evening. Everything about this place was "5 star". The wine we selected was so smoooth, the salad was far from ordinary with many surprise ingredients. So tasty! As was the pizza, beautiful presentation. And the service was top notch!

Stopped in today for the first time after hearing about it for years....wow! Best pizza I've had in years! Absolutely incredible cook and blister rate on the pizza; amazing light and chewy dough, very generous toppings and incredible service, even though we were dressed super casual. Excellent ambience, too. Can't wait to go for a more formal evening dinner with a nice bottle of wine. Great job, guys!
My daughter took me for Mother's day! Our server Devon gave us the best service so knowledgeable about the food very attentive to our needs even poured our water. Her recommendations were spot on. We had the prawns., mushroom pasta veg Pizza and the canolli and salted Carmel gilato for dessert. They even gave mom's a single red rose!
We will be back we will want Devon to serve us again for sure! Thank you!

We had 3 pizzas and they were really good (for the Canadian standard, and we're Italians). The only reason why I didn't give it a 5 star is that the "calzone farcito" had spicy pepperoni, which I have never seen in a calzone in my whole life, and that left me a little disappointed. And the crust was a little burnt. For the rest, great taste and nice service.
We dropped in for a late Sunday lunch on our way out of town. Our server was so friendly and was great! Hope she wins big in Vegas! Arancini was really great. Such a huge GOOD by the glass wine selection!
Pizza was tasty! Service was good! Place is a bit noisy! We’ll go back!
Pizza was delicious, service was very good...only complaint was how loud the restaurant was, hard to have a conversation.
Once we finally got our food it was delicious! Unfortunately the appetizer took 45 min to arrive at our table. On a very positive note, our server Rochelle handed the situation beautifully. She came back frequently to apologize for the delay and even though we were not upset about the situation at all, she comped the appetizer and gave us some of your delicious gelato no charge. We will be back because of her!!

Got and order to go and when I got home to eat it the crust was so that ough yet soggy had a hard time cutting it. Pizza cutter wouldn't totally cut the crust do had to get a sharp knife to finish cutting it. I Never had a pizza where the rough was do tough and doggy at the same time. The ham was. Robert perhaps that's why it was so doggy.. Won't go back. Definitely not worth $21.
