Really enjoyed the cocktails and food at the new Retro kitchen and Bar inside Casino Yellowhead

Prime--like their Prime Rib weekly delivered with premium service and expertise Chefs adding flavor to the meal presenting 'delicious' with a smile of competency!



Good food is what I put my money into--but the tournament games are the way to put good food into my mouth--because the possibility of winning is in the trying but if you don't try you can't even win. Trying is winning even if you don't win--it sure is fun and exciting to try--but the key to winning is to know when to quit or to set a sum of money aside with the idea you'll lose it. If you win--don't lose it--embrace what you won and leave. Don't risk losing what you've won. Risk it but don't insist it. Control yourself or lose it! Gambling is something to be respected--it's fun but not pretty when you've overstepped your own will to sabotage yourself. You must be in control so you don't lose anything but the money you chose to lose--and that's not losing it--it's investing in a possible win for you but if you don't win--you don't lose either because you prepared yourself to lose the amount you set aside to lose anyway. I love the Yellow Head Casino. It is very nice there and they have a lot of great machines to play.

Was there last night and got to watch the Buddy Holly Rave show. Was so darn. My what a great band they are and such great singers.

Great atmosphere and most kind staff.

Excellent. Enjoyed the smaller intimate venue with Hotel California. Sound level was excellent. The buffet meal was superb! Will go back to see another band.

Beautiful newly renovated showroom kind of reminiscent of the International Hotel back in the Elvis Las Vegas days, wonderful entertainment but more so than that and what really wowed me is the fact that they have the biggest hearts and are super charitable and community involved. Wonderful casino led by wonderful people!!!

We were there for dinner and the tribute to George Jones with Duane Steele. We did not gamble. We enjoyed the tribute very much, the dinner was good but could have been better. 2 people in our group had the prime rib and said it was awful, very tough.

The new Pearl was lovely. Service was a bit iffy but it was a first night for the room.

I enjoy myself every time I go, but I wish they would bring back some of the bands they used to bring a few years back I find the quality in the entertainment has dropped.

I Just Love the specials they put on for K-Days. $3 for all. Ya Gotta Love It.

Attended a comedy show and I really struggled with how the sound system was echoing which made it hard to hear..thats the only reason I didn't give 5 stars :).

Signed up for the pure Canadian casino card, won $10 in desserts at the cafe. Can’t beat free mini doughnuts and a muffin. Walked out even Steven but wanted to stay for their Sunday fish and chips. Oh well maybe next visit.

Prior to renovations I was a regular with meetup groups of up to 60 ppl at times and thoroughly enjoyed the food service and entertainment. I have not returned yet and after reading the reviews here, wondering what happened.

We attended the Northern Pikes show last night and while we loved the band, I have to question the sound and the sound man at this venue.

There is glass everywhere and NO acoustical dampening material anywhere. I truly think that the design of The Pearl needs to be revisited with sound in mind or they risk becoming “that room” where no one wants to play. I truly hope that management reads this and considers it.



Last nights performance was waaaay too loud for the intimate venue, the drums were miked yet remained so loud that they overpowered everything (even the sound man couldn’t combat the glass despite his trying. We watched) and in general, the sound was horribly muddled, which was really too bad.



I’d suggest the addition of curtains that could be drawn prior to showtime across the windows and the glass. Anything to soak up the reverberations please!



Food is decent. Service is spotty and understaffed. Happily though, we left with more cash than we walked in with, so that was nice.

Attended Rat Pack Tribute on July 14- Purchased tickets and picked seats when we arrived the number card had been removed from the table we were to be at another couple was sat at our table and the manager refused to deal with the issue we were forced to sit in general seating despite paying more for our chosen seats, we tried to get drinks at the bar we were told someone would be around to serve the table waited over 15 minutes to make a drink order, couldn’t get a drink had to go back up to the bar and demand service when we finally got to order drinks we each ordered 2 so we wouldnt have to have any more issues, my husband got his drinks mine didnt come so I had to reorder,when I finally got the drink that I ordered I only received 1 of the 2. They screwed up another couples seating as well and sat them at our table, at the end of the night we were billed for our drinks and the other couples drinks. The show was really good but that has nothing to do with the Yellowhead Casino.

We and lots of other people did not get the seats we booked. We ended up looking at the back of the keyboard players back and could only hear the drummer. We almost trip over the guitar right beside the keyboard every time we get up. The food was alright but not that big a selection of salads. Very poorly organized. Line ups for food took a long time to get through so no seconds and only one selection for dessert. Bad experience.

The payout at these slots is not good. Did not hear anyone winning while we were there. Would not go back

The Yellowhead Casino's Retro Restaurant, Renovation for the Worst, the seatings are less, the Foods are less, and Cold, the Prices are up, up, up. and the Managers are NOT care at all.
