I am all set to celebrate the nine day festival celebrations called navaratri which means nine nights.This festival mainly marks the triumph of good over evil. Diversity of India is at its best during these nine days with each province celebrating the festivities differently. South of india celebrate by decorating their homes with dolls. Mythological stories are narrated in the form of dolls which are a major attraction to kids. A special mention about celebrations in my nati...ve place called Mysuru which is in southern India.The dussera celebrations here was started by the royal family of mysuru which is continued till this day with the same grandeur. The entire city gets decorated and folks artist travel from all around the country to showcase their talent in Mysure.
