That gorgeous fall weather we've been waiting for is here at last, just in time for the last week of raft tours.

End the day with a float down the Red Deer River, leaving the busy city behind as we make our way from McKenzie Trails to the River Bend Golf Course boat launch. You'll be floating on a full size raft, relaxing on the flat moving water as your guide shares stories of the area. Enjoy some local snacks along the way.
This tour includes a river float on a raft, local food snack, shuttles from the Basecamp + Cafe to the river, pfd and guide.

A Saturday morning tradition for nearly 50 years, the public market is one of the largest in Alberta. Head out with one of our guides to discover local food and unique vendors.
We get an early start, heading out before the market gets busy and then we have a chance to chat with many of the producers themselves. The vendors we visit varies from week to week but the tour usually includes 5 to 8 of our favourites.

Overlooking Nordegg, this classic hike to the site of the first fire lookout in the Alberta Rockies provides a vantage point like no others. Enjoy the full 360 degree panorama from the summit. The Coliseum Mountain hike is approximately 13 km on a well established trail. The climb is steady on a well maintained trail with switchbacks. Our destination is the ridge overlooking Nordegg and conditions permitting, the unique round summit of Coliseum.
The tour includes your guide who will be highlighting the natural and human history of the area, a gourmet lunch and hiking poles. We offer transportation from Red Deer, Rocky Mountain House and Nordegg or you can meet us at trailhead.

Learn self-rescue skills, how to use basic personal safety equipment, rescue principles and river swimming skills to help you gain the confidence needed to take your canoeing, kayaking or rafting skills to the next level.
This 1 day course offers a combination of theory and practice time on the Kananaskis River where we can get great conditions for training throughout the season. It's a great option whether you've been paddling for years or are new to the sport. For those requiring the certification for work, this course provides certification from Rocky Mountain Adventure Medicine that meets NFPA standards and is valid for 3 years.

Saturday: Hike along the narrow canyons of the Cline River and Coral Creek.
Sunday: Take in the sights from the summit of Coliseum Mountain, overlooking Nordegg and the front range of the Rockies.

The best way to end a summer day: float on the Red Deer River followed by beverages at Troubled Monk.
Start your adventure with a relaxing float in a full size raft guided by the staff of the Kerry Wood Nature Centre. Take in the views of the river valley from a different perspective as you enjoy a light dinner on the water.
Next up we'll bring you back to the Troubled Monk for a brewery tour, going behind the scenes where those delicious beers, sodas and spirits are made. Wr...apping up the evening we'll get to enjoy a tasting flight, a pint of your favourite beer or a craft soda in the taproom.

Explorer Series tours are open anybody looking for a fun day playing outside. No prior hiking experience required.
The tour includes your guide, a gourmet lunch baked from scratch at Basecamp + Cafe and hiking poles. We offer transportation from Red Deer, Rocky Mountain House and Nordegg, or you can meet us at trailhead.

We'll be closing at 1 pm today while The City does some work on the water main in the neighbourhood.
You'll find us across from the stage at the Market on Main in Rocky Mountain House tonight and back at Basecamp + Cafe from 8 am to 4 pm on Friday.

Took the ski bus to Lake Louise this past Saturday. Thanks Pursuit Adventures for the great one-dayer. Skiing was fantastic and the best part was I didn't have to worry about the drive. And the marshmallows and Kicking Horse coffee was awesome. I will be booking again. Thanks again PA.

Too many great things to mention. JUST GET OUT THERE PEOPLE

So much fun great way to try new things went snowshoeing with Danielle who is a fantastic guide My daughter loved snowshoeing and checking out the ice bubbles! Can't wait to go hiking in the summer!

Just amazing people and great service.

JP & Danielle are EXCELLENT hosts and tour guides! They are so knowledgeable and helpful; patient too as this old gal made the climb up those hills! LOL! Oh... and the food you get on the tour... they make everything from scratch, fresh, local produce, warm hot chocolate with homemade marshmallows... absolutely delicious. If you want the best hosts to guide you through the sites of central Alberta, I highly recommend a call to them.

I have been wanting to try snowshoeing and was thrilled when I saw that there was an option close to Lacombe. The guided tour was easy to access, and very affordable. Danielle was an excellent guide - personable and knowledgable. I would recommend the snowshoeing excursion to anyone, and look forward to participating in more tours in the future. Thank you Pursuit Adventure & Travel!

As a rookie to hiking and snowshoeing, I'm not yet comfortable tagging along with friends nor wish to be the one suffering in the back. I've ventured out with this team a couple times now on snowshoes and feel completely at ease to enjoy the pace, scenery and terrain. I'll be back for more tours!
