My husband, Artem, and I have been very busy over the past 3 months creating some very special pottery pieces. Our very first show and sale is on December 1st at ACUA. There is more information about the sale and location below. Hope to see our friends there!

The design on this mug is inspired by Kristin Duff's 'Autumn Mosaic' photo (posted on Oopoomoo Creatives). My husband threw the mug and I underglazed it and now it's waiting to be bisque fired and then glazed. The colours will be more vibrant after the glaze fire.

The design on this mug was inspired by a beautiful photo by Thomas L. Gibson (posted on Oopoomoo Photography group). I included three 'extras' in my painting. The mug was 'thrown' by my husband, Artem Paramonov.

My husband, Artem Paramonov, just started throwing pottery on a wheel last month, and he's created some beautiful pieces! I'm having fun carving and decorating them.

1. Drawing People/Figures... 3 weeks $75.00/student (6 hours of instruction) 1-3 pm Wednesday, Sept. 19th to Oct. 3rd Ages: 9 years old and up (Adults welcome) Minimum 8 students and Maximum 20 students Materials Required: One HB Pencil, Pencil Sharpener and White or Kneaded Eraser. I will provide the paper and rulers. NOTE: Early Birds who pay in full by Sept. 4th, 2018 will receive $5.00 off per student. All fees must be paid by Sept. 10th.
2. DrawingSketching Portraits 4 Weeks $100/student (8 Hours of instruction) 1-3 pm Wednesday Oct. 10th to Oct. 31st Ages: 11 years old and up (Adults welcome) Minimum 8 students and Maximum 20 students Materials Required: One each of HB & 2B & 4B Pencils, Pencil Sharpener and Kneaded Eraser. I will provide the paper and rulers. NOTE: Early Birds who pay in full by Sept. 15th, 2018 will receive $5.00 off per student. All fees must be paid by Sept. 30th. This is a pre-requisite course for my Painting Portraits Course.
3. Painting Portraits 4 Weeks $100/student Plus $20.00 FEE for Paint Materials (8 Hours of instruction) 1-3 pm Wednesday Nov. 7 to Dec. 5th (No class on Nov. 14th for Fall School Break) Ages: 11 years old and up (Adults welcome) Minimum 8 students and Maximum 20 students Materials Required: One each of HB & 2B & 4B Pencils, and Kneaded Eraser. $20.00/Student Materials Fee covers acrylic paint, canvas and use of brushes and other supplies. NOTE: Early Birds who pay in full by Sept. 15th, 2018 will receive $5.00 off per student. All fees must be paid by Oct. 31st. Students need to have taken my "Drawing Portraits" course or something similar in order to be accepted in this Painting Portraits Course.
NOTE: I am offering a discount for students who register in all three of my Fall courses: $250.00 per student instead of $275.00 (Plus $20.00 Material Fee for Painting Portraits class).

Drawing & Painting Animals Intermediate classes are for students who have already taken my Beginner Drawing & Painting Animals classes. I'll be teaching them the next skills in drawing animals and creating a pen & ink drawing and an acrylic painting. 8 weeks: Starting Friday, March 16, 23, no class on the 30th, April 6, 13, no class on the 20th, 27th, May 4th, 18th and 25th. We may need to adjust the dates in April or May because of my son's competition schedule, but I'...ll give notification before hand. Fine Arts Classes starting Monday, January 15th until May 28th, 2018. Time: 1:30-3:30 pm. Length: 18 weeks of classes Location: Sharla Kostelyk's house- Wye Road and Range Rd. 222, Ardrossan (About 5 minutes east of Sherwood Park). Student Age: 13 years old and up.... Maximum Class Size: 8 students Non-refundable registration fee due December 20th: $20.00 (will be applied to total course cost). Registration received guarantees your student's place in class. Course Cost: $400 including most materials. 10% discount if paid in full by December 20th. Monthly payments may be arranged.
We'll be drawing, painting, creating sculptures and doing typography plus studying some art history. These projects will fulfill the Alberta Learning Outcomes for Art 10 (3 credit course). Students may submit their completed art projects to their homeschool board teacher for assessment for credit. I will give suggested grades for each assignment.
