I made a deposit that included cash and one cheque. The cheque was listed on the deposit slip with cheque writer’s name and the amount.

The teller looked at the cheque, set it down and preceded with the deposit. When he was done he stamped the deposit book and handed it back to me. It was later determined that the deposit was short by the amount of the cheque. A few days later I went to the branch to inquire as to why the cheque was not deposited. After ten minutes the cheque was found in the bank’s lost and found. It was then deposited to the account.

I asked what would have happened to the cheque had I not come in to ask questions. I was told that after two weeks the cheque would be destroyed. Apparently the amount indicated on deposit slip is not part of the RBC’s reconciliation process and RBC makes no effort the match a wayward cheque to an account.

It would seem that the RBC relies on its clients to be its auditor. RBC’s home page says “We’re here to help our client…” Perhaps what should be added to the end of the statement is “…but only if we feel like it.”

No 24 hr atm which sucks tellers are nice but incompetent and they decided I need life insurance and were so nice as to start charging me for it without asking me or having me sign anything just quietly started to take money out every month. I wonder who my beneficiary was?

The worst experience ever with this Bank., they are unprofessional they misleading information on the papers and on rates. When you go talk to manager they ckick you out from the branch, and still your money. As RBC client until Jan 2016, with a rate A for payments, I recommend and bag all RBC clients, TAKE YOUR MONEY OUT, and don't singn any papers with this bank. The owners are oversee transfer trillion dollars outside Canada, and they put Canadian in the bankcrapcy with their misleading info. On the other hand, Bank of Canada or Canadian gov have no power, and they don't care. They shuld be shut down as a bank operation. Also the manager, Hanan Rafin a low class east indian manager just calls the police on you, if you don't listen on their misleading informations on paper. They change the rates and take customer rights with your own money. All of you STAY AWAY, completely from this bank. The worst uneducated, bad people at any their branch.
