Rbc Royal Bank

So I woke up this morning with $446.61 missing from my chequing account. I called the online banking right away and they tried to find out what happened to my money. With no luck and being on the phone for about ½ hour, they told me to go to the nearest branch.
I went to the branch and spoke with Brook (the assistant branch manager) and explained what happed and she filled out a form in regards to my LOST money, and promised to call me in 1 to 2 hours if she was able to escalate the issue to get my money back.
I did not receive a call back. I had no choice but to call her at 3:15. The response was “there is nothing we can do to escalate this as they are working on other people’s missing money”. She said that Greg said that there was nothing he could do to cover my insurance payment. I would have to wait 3 to 5 days and she would call me when the money has been returned to my account. I use their ATM’s, I use their on line banking, are we not safe with this institute?
This institution has more money than I do and they will not cover my insurance payment that comes out tonight. So at 3:30 today, I had to scramble to find $200.00 to deposit so my insurance does not get cut off.
I have been with this bank since I was a young lad at the age of 13 and now I am 52. So much for loyalty to their customers! I am very disappointed in the Royal Bank institute and their nonchalant attitude.
I will be seeking Another Bank to transfer my finances to.

Professional and friendly. Helpful and efficient. No standing in line for hours watching staff doing things other than helping clientele.

This bank is always prompt and friendly. Thankfully they are also not too pushy on sales and actually listen to your needs and wants as a customer. Have been with RBC forever! Keep it up!

No holds on deposits for the past year. Then a random 4 day over a weekend. Ends up being almost a week. Bs.

Banks are evil.
