The clerk was very very nice, however it is quite obvious they are being pushed to upsell, so depositing a couple cheques took about 10 mins longer than it needed to. With the up selling hassle and news about sending jobs over seas, it might be time to change banks.

This branch is one of the largest in Calgary and rightfully so since it is in Bankers Hall. It's accessible from the TD Core shopping mall and thus the +15 so great in winter when you don't want to trudge through endless snow to do some banking. Branch is busy during the weekday lunch hour while everyone gets a break from their jobs to run some lunch time errands, so avoid that time and it is generally pretty quick. There are always a number of tellers available to help. It's just a bit slow when you need some sort of managerial intervention. They could work on that a bit.

A clerk mansplained ATM money deposits to me. It was uncomfortable.

I had an issue at another RBC branch and was directed to this one in Bankers Hall. After such a negative experience elsewhere I was met with a friendly greeting, the manager and bank teller assisted me with no hesitation and the request that was so easily shut down at Bow Valley was resolved and completed at Bankers Hall with no issues. Thank you for providing me with outstanding customer service and restoring my faith in RBC.

Terrible customer service from one of their teller today trying to deposit a cheque.

Brought in a certified check today, issued from a local law firm's trust account, to be deposited into my family's savings account (held this account for 18 years with RBC). The teller, a very nice lady, advise there would potentially be a hold put on the certified funds, so we asked to speak to the manager. When the manager came out to discuss, he simply stated we were potentially fraudulent customers; my immediately reply was that what he said was very insulting; the manager's reply: "if we didn't like it take our business elsewhere". That said, guess what! We are taking our business elsewhere. Any bank that promotes a chump like that to management will never earn another cent off of me, or my family.

I went shopping for rates and decided to give PC Financial, CIBC, BMO and RBC a shot at getting my business and RBC by far swept the rest off there feet. Even though PC and CIBC had an advantage of me already banking with them.

I have decided to move all my accounts and money to RBC and haven't regretted my decision.
