*Red Iron Ranch feeds most of our horses in slow feeder hay bags when they are not grazing in the summer and fall seasons. "Slow-feeding is definitely the best solution for feeding grazing animals, kept in captivity. How does it work? Well it allows only small amounts of hay to be pulled out while feeding, slowing down the consumption and allowing the digestion to work the way it is designed to. Slow-feeding best imitates the grazing action for the digestive system. " (Information provided by www. slowfeeder.com). So far we are pleased with the results. Our horses are happy, and are never waiting for their next meal.
