Wonderful pastries and cakes (need to order ahead, but so worth it)

We came in unexpectedly one Sunday afternoon. A cute little place all tucked away in a residential area of Mill Woods. All the pastries on display looked delicious, but we ended up deciding on the lemon meringue tart, the onion scone, and 3 flavours of macarons to share. Everything tasted incredible! Even the tea presentation was well done, small pots kept warm over a candle. Very nice little place. Will definitely be back!

Warm, welcoming staff. AMAZING food. Such a quaint and happy environment! Love that it’s a hidden gem!

This is a regular place for me. The food is amazing, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Truly a gem in the city.

This is a charming little gem of a place. If you want proper coffee or tea, this is the place to go! A few friends say that the pastries are unbelievable, especially their signature cheesecake. This place will have you yearning for the treats only they can offer (unless you go to a high-end restaurants in France), because that's their type of quality.

So impressed with the skill, training, and French detailed design in this adorable little shop. You gotta go!

My daughter and I visited the newly opened Reinette Cafe and Patisserie, the cutest little place nearby our neighbourhood. We tried a number of things from the menu - a mixed berry smoothie, a package of the tiniest madeleines, a lavender cookie and of course the classic, macarons. All of the selections were wonderful but for me, what stood out by far was the orange chocolate tart. I love chocolate and I can't eat just any chocolate. Chocolate is an art form in my opinion - to make it, to eat it. This tart was small in size but definitely big on flavour. It was, as the French would say, incroyable! Bittersweet and smooth on the palette, the chocolate melted in my month and the tart was just firm and crispy enough to add a layer of texture to the bite. Definitley one of my new favourite treats and it will be the reason why I would return.

Last Tuesday, I came across this cute little café situated near the dance studio my daughter attends. I was ecstatic because I've been looking for a place in the Southside that sold French pastries however, there weren't any and the only French cafes were located across the city. This afternoon while I passed this place again, I decided to go in as I saw that there were people inside. I was kindly greeted by the owners and their family. One of the owners is originally from France and his wife is from Edmonton and had studied in Paris at the prestigious culinary school, Le Cordon Bleu. They were so kind and offered me some delicious, freshly baked biscotti and a cup of cappuccino. I told them that I was super excited that they were opening because I now could easily stop by whenever I had a craving for French pastries and I finally had a place to hang out while waiting for my daughter's dance classes to end. Reinette café will be opening in a few weeks, so stay tuned.

Just my second time to visit this patisserie and I instantly fell in love with it. I love the authentic French desserts and how they balance the taste of every ingredient put into the desserts and pastries. Coffee is also made into perfection with each blend added to include flavour and aroma. It's about time I reinforced my love for various cakes, pastries and sweets...merci beaucoup pour l'expérience.

I took a friend for some tea and Macaroons and they did not dissapoint. I hope that the quality and the good service does not change with time. Surely this will be my common place for a tea break. Love that it's open till 9pm because the usual Tims or Starbucks is not my style

I picked up a few treats to share yesterday and my husband and I were both very impressed. The apple cheesecake is spectacular. With a relatively low sugar content the quality ingredients really shine. The rose and green tea macaron cake is heavenly. Wonderfully fresh fruit flavors which, again, are not overly sweet. Enjoyed a biscotti with my coffee this morning and it was some of the very best I've had. I'm so happy to have found this little gem so close to home!

I love supporting local - and it also happens to be delicious! The staff are super friendly, the desserts are decadent (we had a raspberry macaron & orange chocolate tart), and the ambience is welcoming (and perfect for a French cafe). We loved it and will be back! :)

I just discovered Reinette and it was fabulous! I can't believe there is an amazing French pastry shop walking distance from my house! The Apple Cheesecake was divine; the key lime pie absolutely incredible and so beautifully presented. Of course the macarons were lovely with delicate flavours and a beautiful shell.

I have passed Reinette probably a hundred times, and today I finally made it in with a friend. What a beautiful cafe!! The staff members were great and kind enough to tell us about all of the beautiful baking and drinks. We had a hard time deciding what to choose, but everything looks so delicious! The staff was patient with us and seemed to love that we brought in a coo-ing baby! Definitely family friendly.

It was clear that this cafe is loved by regulars as most of the people who came in seemed familiar with the menu and staff. I am extra happy that Millwoods is the home of this gem! So close to home. We will be back :)

I ate one of the most delicious traditional croissants this morning at this delightful cafe - you can taste the difference handmade makes! Although they have a large selection of coffees, I recommend the White Hot Chocolate for non-coffee drinkers. I took home a variety of tarts and pastries to share with my family as I couldn't pass up the opportunity to tempt them to this extraordinary hidden gem. Well worth the trip! I will definitely be back!
