If you enjoy pulling your hair out then I HIGHLY recommend this company! You will be shopping for wigs and hats before you know it.
My journey began with the sales lady forgetting to do her due diligence with the financing aspect of the contract but somehow an Air Conditioner was installed on my property with out payment. After months of hassling the sales lady for information about when my first payment would be coming out I received a call from a collections agency. Seems she forgot to submit my application……
The second leg of journey consisted of a failed city compliance because reliance installed the Air conditioner in an location that violated city bylaws. Trying to get Reliance to move to relocate the Air conditioner to satisfy the bylaws was more painful than multiple root canals but was necessary in order to sell my house.
The third leg of journey was my stupidity to allow Reliance to install ANOTHER Air conditioner in my new home. Some those highlights include
- Quoting me one price then charging me more
- I do not have a copy of the correct contract
- I had to ask several times for my “free cover”
- Failing the city electrical permit
- Spending countless hours trying to arrange for the air conditioner to be moved again!
- Asking multiple times for my siding and concrete to be repaired

If all of this was not bad enough Reliance some how screwed up their billing then tried to rebill me for the Air conditioner by forcing a payment on my credit card. Despite repeated attempts to contact them they will not return phone calls or emails.

I encourage you to use ANYONE but reliance!

An extremely rude and irresponsible company. They were asked for an emergency call provided a technician is available right away. The operator confirmed that the service will be dispatched right away. The location was just 2.6 KM away but no one turned up for next 3 hours. They were called multiple times but the operators would make you wait for hours not minutes.
A total disappointment. A courtesy call was made to inform that we will call someone else but the lady would respond in the most rude manner. Very unprofessional handling and less than expected response.
Read other reviews and found out, we made a mistake calling them.

Darren from Reliance installed our new furnace and A/C several years ago and as with anything new problems occurred. Darren went well above what was expected of him to ensure everything was fixed and that we as customers were completely satisfied. This week he had to return for our humidifier and again provided excellent customer service, fixed the issue and saved us $500. This is an individual who definitely understands customer service. A job well done Darren!

I have had a furnace, hot water tank and water softener installed a year ago. The only thing that works properly is the water heater. I have had 5 service calls to fix the softener and it still is NOT WORKING! The furnace took 4 calls to repair and it is still not WORKING properly. I would not recommend this company at all. I am shocked at how no one seems to care. I booked the afternoon off today for another repair person to come only to be called just now to tell me he can't come as he is too busy! Go elsewhere for your water and heating needs!!!! These people DO NOT CARE!

Our installers were excellent. They did a great job, were polite and respectful. Everything was cleaned up as they left. Tank was installed quickly and looks great. We were oriented in how to use and light it which was helpful.

The installers were by far the best installers of any product we have ever had. Helpful, friendly, and their work second to none.

Had scheduled an appointment between 9-11, service man was supposed to give us an estimated time that he would arrive by calling directly.. Called at 9:30am to see where he was and when he was coming.. was on hold 20 minutes.. Said he was on his way.. waited until 11:10 before calling back to find out where he was.. was on hold 30 minutes until 11:40.. Called and waited on hold for 20 minutes to cancel as our opportunity ended for the appointment, we had no more time. Wasted our morning, difficult to communicate with, save yourself the hassle, call a company who picks up the phone and supplies a serviceman's phone number.,

I have always had great service from Reliance and the employees in the Calgary area.

We (my wife and I) are going to write an honest review of our recent install of new rental units for our furnace, hot water tank and air conditioner.

Dan the salesman was up front, honest and wanted to get us what we needed for the best deal. He showed several makes and models and explained the options very well. He continued to follow up all the way even after the install was completed. He made sure we were happy with the whole process end to end.

The installers worked with us on our schedule. Darryl and Darren and their other staff did a very clean and excellent job. They left the house tidy and cleaned up all the areas hey worked in.

There was one small glitch on the furnace board on the first day of the install and they went above and beyond in our opinion, to get it corrected as fast as they could. It took an extra day, but even during that wait they made sure we had hot water and heat. Due to the issue they could not properly test the A/C as it was late in the evening.

Once the glitch was dealt with, everything worked as we expected.

To us, that level of service, even when something went wrong (as things do), was what still prompted us to do 5 stars.

The whole company has been nothing but professional and courteous to our family and we definitely recommend them.
